He seems to slow & weak most games so my other theory is he has been found out in this league. Defenders now how to isolate him & make him ineffective. Happens a lot where a new player enters the league & does great. Then the following season they average. He should offer more, can't see assists or goals...
said it when we were buying himMaybe been found out a bit?
The difference between him and Sessegnon/Reguillon is night and dayOne thing that impressed me is Udogie's first touch, it's so light and silky.
Agree 100% with everything you've said apart from this bit- 2-2 away at Brentford and I've seen enough in this half to see what Ange is building so stop panicking you melts. He's undoing the dinosaur football from the Conte/Mourinho era whilst working with a tight budget and already showing he can do the job. Give the team time.
Son & Kulu not offering much. Richy is left ravenous.
Kulu and Son have played exactly like everyone predicted they would, they're just not touchline wingers and are a poor fit for the system.
Especially if you end up playing 110 minutes every game.Yes but we need adequate cover for injuries, fatigue & suspensions.
The runs were dead ends, no balls to be played reallyKeeps cutting inside and keeps missing the runs of players down the wing.
Clear contact, but the Brentford player extends his leg beyond the ball looking for the contact, IMO.Comms all over the place saying no pen.
In fairness to richie hes working his bollox offThink we've been okay, be more comfortable if ref wasn't giving the home side as MASSIVE advantage.
Few observations.
Sanchez has caused a couple problems, one with positioning and another wen Brentford nearly scored at the end with his bad pass leavin massive space in behind he vacated
Son and kulu always too wide for my taste, both not getting involved. Richarlison not involved at all
Skipp I think in an 8 roll we could use another creative there
try son central move solomon or perisic out left and then sign a good fast rw then we are cookingI'm really concerned about Son this season. His interpretation of the LW is not that suited for Ange's system. He's not starting wide enough. Perisic seems to have a better understanding of what's needed
Because even if he does beat his man, he'll be catch caught up with very quickly if he's too far backKulu did manage to beat his man on the outside the one time he tried, but he just doesn't seem to want to do it.
