Yes, we cannot have the pathetic goal waving flags like Woolwich, cringe every time.
Big flags, passed across whole stands like liverpool look amazing, or things like Palace do - Saw jigsaw flag and swirl with coloured cards. Really want and hope we can make this new stand be as class as Kop/Dortmund should help invigorate the rest of the stadium too.

Now they are proper flags Sammy. Good to see Wembley allowing the homemade flags to be displayed on sunday.

I think the flags are a good idea. I suggested to the Trust that we should have independent flags and a place to put them below the stand. The club should be no where near the flags. What is more important, and perhaps a better idea, is a thread regarding atmosphere in general. It would be great for a consensus to be reached on a variety of things. Getting things sorted over this year will really help.
In light of that drummer, the club have shown never in a million years it should be left to them to make decisions on atmosphere and ideas that impact it. The proof is there that they don't have a fucking clue. "We" fans should be shoving that notion where the sun doesn't shine. It's time to take the initiative ourselves. That includes getting rid of fucking star wars before KO's, getting rid of PA systems blasting out tunes that have nothing to do with us, or having some geek on a mic telling us to "get behind the team". All fans want to do is sing, chant and clap their tunes, without being told when and where to do it.

As regards to a consensus, the thing is no one has to conform, we don't need consensus on whether we use flags, banners, tiffo, ticker tape, scarfs, shirts etc.. The only consensus is let the fans be fans, let the fans have more freedom and ownership, for years and years now fans have been dictated to and slowly it's us fans that have conformed to this control. Club need to trust fans. The best example of how simple this can be was seen in the last World Cup, when in Brazil they cut the music during the Brazil National anthem, the moment they did that they fans took over and sung the loudest, most passionate National anthem ever sung. Contrast that to what has crept into England now, every sporting event from Rugby to Football now has a Doris signing the national anthem over a PA and it's fucking shit, all you can hear is that fucking warbling high pitch voice sung by someone belting out a tune like they are in an X Factor audition. The club just need to support what the fans want, and that doesn't mean we all have to agree either, if 100 fans want flags then let them in, support those fans by making it easy for them to do that, if that means providing them a place to store a flag then they should do so. If fans want to bring banners then make that easy for them to do that by providing them somewhere to store the banner and/or drilling hooks or something that makes it easy to hang.

How mucg sway has the trust got on things like this.......they are in a position now to help massively make our new place a proper ground. We really need a bridge to the club

Right up to the ticketing for Wembley this season they have built pretty balanced relationship and got the impression Club listened to them. But the club have not taken any of there recommendations and went back on somethings they told them they were going to do. They didn't consult about the drum thing, despite a running dialog about atmosphere etc.. So in a nutshell right now the club appear to be doing what the fuck it wants and is making a tit of themselves in the process.

Absolutely bang on. Let the board sit back, enjoy and count their money afterwards. Leave the real, important stuff to the fans. I want to see something real in that South Stand. Something that only love and passion for the club can build. They have a huge opportunity with this new stadium to spark something back into the game we value above any other that's been lost to the dollar and the corporations.

That South Stand needs something special, even if it's me that needs to get a little stand outside the stadium selling these classic emblems of our history to get the ball rolling.

As they say, in a land filled with Citites, United's and Rovers, there is only one Hotspur

Let's make it a fortress like football is yet to see

All of that is so true - basically a manifesto for ensuring New WHL doesn't become shit for genuine fans.

Let's do all we can to make it a fortress
The fortress stuff for me is down to the players. I think the fans just need to have more fun at a game, more ownership. As fans we fiercely protect our name and club, if we had involvement in the Stand then we can protect that too. I know it's corny but the Yellow Wall works in Dortmund because the club let them have a say, let them have ownership of it and the fans are proud of it. It's got a reputation created by them and helped and supported by the club. It's so fucking easy to do as well.

People involved always say the fans are the most important thing to the club are the fans. I think this gives them the perfect opportunity to prove it

Unfortunately I don't think it will happen, but fortunately the drum incident can actually be used in a positive way to show them that they don't have a fucking clue. The THST and all fans should not let the club forget it doesn't have a clue.

Thought I'd bump this one again on the back of the comments regarding flags by alexwooty alexwooty and Guido 🇺🇦 Guido 🇺🇦

Not sure who's got a season ticket or who thinks flags/ banners are worth getting before our new home opens but if the club were to consider doing so, I hope with our broad history and iconic moments, images the club would make the most of them.

Imagine huge images of the following being hoisted up. Surely they'd be better than a generic one person flag with a bit of plastic hanging off of it:

(A better quality one of Gazza's moment though)

Surely it's better that the club produce big banners/ flags like this than hand held flags that are stuck on seats and disposed of after a match.

Anyone know a way of getting in touch with someone or people closer to the club/ questionnaire that's recently gone out to suggest this?

If you have any proper Iconic Spurs pictures or memories that would be good to consider for flags/ atmosphere feel free to add, it might get you away from the transfer window madness :s
