I truly hope so but he bounced from Celtic very quickly, and hes still somewhat of an unknown quantity.

Iv been impressed by Ange so far. But the presser was a roll eyes moment. It just wasnt necessary.
Didn’t he leave after winning the quadruple? Granted it’s the Scottish league but you can only top that by winning the Champions league as well with Celtic which is never happening !
If he wins us the domestic treble next year or even just the CL or PL and decides to tap out I’ll be alright with that!

I'm a late comer to football (American, only started following in 2018) so I'll ask an uninformed question. Isn't the Postecoglou to Liverpool question a non-starter? Surely Spurs wouldn't let him out of his contract to go to another big club. Do manager's contracts come with escape clauses?

It is a non starter. Posto has enough on his plate with Spurs as a project. It's probably more of a challenge to him to make a success of us .

We've been shit since the new year. Very stale, can't seem to control a game and it is starting to look like teams have figured out how to counter us.

For a manager who has publicly said that his teams play one way and one way only, it's going to be interesting to see if/how we adapt over the rest of the season.

If we continue to decline then I guarantee people will start calling for Ange to move on by the summer. Which is fucking mad considering how well he had us playing at the start of the season.

Personally, I think that his tactics would work fine, regardless of what other teams do if we had the right quality up top. Whilst Richy has contributed well in recent weeks, his limitations are there for all to see. Kulusevski has been very poor all season. As has Johnson.

A top quality striker and RW (or LW if Son is used as a striker) and I reckon it'll start to click. The issue is that I can't see that happening considering the money spent on Johnson.

Need wingers/1v1 specialists to take us to the next level, keep saying it.

This formation drags everyone to the middle and leaves the other teams full backs isolated, even 1 on the pitch would be great.

We simply do not have the level of depth, yet, to play his style of football in the prem.

Just the way it is.

Can't make any mistakes in the summer.

Teams have largely figured us out now. So easy to attack against. I don't blame the defenders it's the tactics. If you're going to commit suicide tactically at the back you've got to have a fucking brilliant attacking plan that is adaptable. You could see O'Neil and his staff devising a plan in game to turn it in their favour and it worked. Pack the middle against us with out inverted full backs and we don't have a fucking clue.

No issue with me as long as he is learning lessons.

The Palace game is a big one because who starts says much about the decisions he is willing to take.

The guy needs to see and to know what needs to be put right, playing style and personnel.

But all good I think.

No way was anything better than 5th a realistic proposition, irrespective of fcuking pundits.

I feel we are tactically outmatched in quite a run of games now. Feels like teams have figured us out. Could stick it down to player depth, but he has the majority of first choice options back now. It's like a regression back again recently. When we concede I'm not convinced we can comeback to win the games, and we give away lots of very easy chances, especially when the other team is in the lead.

Fans from Ange teams said that 2nd season is different, and there was a lot to enjoy in the early few games of the season. Aslong as the 'depth' we can get is a few more Van de Vens, and less Brennan Johnsons.
