Ings would be a great fit for us, he can play the striker role but is just as suited to anywhere in the attacking 3 and would be cheap, not sure it will happen but would be well happy.

It's not a case of arithmetic. It's a case of diplomacy. Players aren't robots. Pochettino wants people for a specific system, and needs guys with a lot of fire in the belly. People who have that are generally unhappy if they aren't starting.
Your suggestions are all for expensive players who expect to start. Spurs aren't looking for that in a striker.
Playing the back-up isn't throwing away a season. It's not done by choice, it's done from necessity.
A quality wide player will START - why do you keep ignoring this very point?

In terms of priority - descending order
- Wide forward - some who can play out side / behind Kane - basically an upgrade on Chadli / Townsend
- Centre back - quality unit
- Quality destroyer unless Poch rates Stambouli (unlikely seeing it wasn't his buy)

If we manage to sell some deadwood - probably 15-25m. If we want to genuinely compete for CL next season - should be minimum double that

If you think we will spend nothing (net) how will you juggle it so we can obtain a quality striker (one of those ones you linked at the beginning of this thread for 15m plus, a quality Centre back and a midfield destroyer?

My opinion is that if we don't bring in a defensive mid and a creative attacking player (be it wide forward or central...ideally can play both) we are fucked.
Having watched Pritchard's a bit i think he's pretty damn good for the wide left role (as cover for Eriksen would be ideal imo) so a central attacking creative mid would be nice.
A dm to partner Benteleb is essential. I don't care how many quality cb's we bring in...we will still look exposed time and time again if we partner Benteleb with Mason who has no positional sense.

Pritchard likely is the wide player we're going to be seeing used, since Pochettino likes him, and the kid is exactly the sort of player who fits his system. He's also already part of the team, letting the club spend more money on other positions.
We are going to be spending 20+ million on anyone save possibly Morgan Schneiderlin. Give up on that malarkey, and the "we must spend 50 million this window to get fourth place now!" narrative. That's not how we're being run. We don't spend big unless we've sold big first. The club has pretty clearly settled on a different direction, based on relying on the Academy as much as possible and only bringing in players which fit the model and the system which Pochettino wants.
We need players who fit the system and will be content to fight for their place. That's a delicate balancing act of egos that requires a lot of diplomacy on the part of the coach. It also means that a lot of the guys you are suggesting happen to be bad ideas, since they're not going to want to be in that situation.

Save your patronising bullshit, fella - anyone of those players would fit in our system and improve the starting 11 - Prtichard is one for the future but nowhere near that level yet. Youth promotion is great but can only take us far

Pato has a decent strike record since he moved to Sau Paulo. He also has remained healthy the last few seasons, playing almost the whole seasons. On a free transfer he is certainly worth a punt, imo.
As for Klose, I don't see age as stopping him, he has been in some of the form of his life in recent years.Again, on a free, how is he not worth a punt?
If both of these players are just backups, we could certainly do worse. They would be highly marketable, have proven quality, and would leave money for other signings.
