I disagree. Maddison is our most important player bar none. We have to find someone who can replicate what he does for us.
He can receive and keep us ticking from deep a la a 6 of the past while also being our best creator, dribbler, dead ball specialist, releasing through balls and making runs himself.
We lack that element without him, he effectively can play all of the phases of build up at an elite level. Eze has that too, he’s a full creative engine for Palace, we mustn’t place so much responsibility on Madders.

I listened to the Sirrus Football Show interview with a Scouse newspaper reporter in the week.
He was full of telling the traditions, history and success that Everton have had over the last half century or so, the Joe Royals, Alan Balls, Lineker's and the like and was using this as an excuse to justify their points deduction being overturned.
Their history was good for the PL should overcome any penalties handed down, if you like.
Self entitled cunts like him didn't say a word about any of the three relegated sides, one that may have survived relegation had Everton remained within FFP guidelines.
It's always ignorance of the laws and regulations that get used as an excuse.

I'm not sure why you're focusing on replacing just home grown players either. We could just as easily replace a foreign player with a homegrown player. Gil would be a great start.

Pretty much the only likely possibility is Alfie Devine if he continues to shine on loan (technically List B initially).
Small possibilities of buying Cirkin or KWP who are club trained.

Sort of related but how df have dippers completely nullified and dominated bmouth away with so many players out and youngsters like Bradshaw , Elliot and jones? Solanke didn’t have a sniff. Dippers missing first choice FBs, salah and midfield of youngsters. One thing I notice is how hard they work off the ball and are pretty relentless with high energy and intensity.

The quality of our home grown players could be drastically improved upon. Maddison is one of those in that list as in, he's homegrown.
Having 3 keepers, while that goes along way to circumnavigate the European homegrown rules, it's not very much in the way of firepower to draw from the bench
