Contes points arent valid till he commits. Why would the club spend 100s of millions on his players then he walks out

Why would he commit when club have a consistent track record of failing to back a manager once he's signed on the dotted line.

His points are absolutely valid. If Pep said that the spurs squad is weak, and has no chance in hell of competing for a trophy, he'd be right. And he doesn't even have a stake in the club.

Pep is the man id listen to alright.
Conte still has the option to walk out if promises arent kept after he signs. Its win win for him. Comes out looking great.
But hes making a lot of excuses and not looking at himself. As shit as our players have been to me they dont believe in the system anymore it seems

For what its worth 10 pts from our last 10 league games is now worse or as bad as these previous managers that got the sack. These are the points totals from their last 10 prior to be given the boot.

Nunos last 10 league games (15 pts), Mourinho ( 14 pts ) Poch (10 pts), Sherwood (16 pts), AVB (14 pts), Redknapp (16 pts)

And no this doesn't absolve the board, just worth pointing out that they've rightly or wrongly sacked managers for less.

It really doesn’t matter who our next manager will be, it will end up the same way as every other manager over the last 22yrs. Until ENIC & Levy sell up, we will not move on as a club.

Levy hit or get off the pot.
Conte wont be on the dole queue so needs to man up and tell him to fuck off if thats the case
They both need to shit or get off the pot. If it’s a power struggle/mind games Levy wins. Sad, but true.
He hires and fires and is a trigger happy little cunt.
Conte’s football has been painful for the most part this season, but as others have said he’s a serial winner. First Jose, now Conte. Both proven. Both failing miserably at Spurs after a bright start.
The common denominator is Daniel Levy.
A new manager can get a bounce but there’s no way many of the current squad can get back to how they were.
Regardless of whether Conte stays or goes we need a new goalie urgently. Lloris is losing us points every week at the moment. A total liability.
It’s a position that every manager has to cover whatever the formation he plays.

He needs to commit and the club then needs to back him properly over 2 or 3 transfer windows including this one. That means buying geniune quality and selling players who have no future here. And the fans have patience while this turnover of playing staff happens.

otherwise you end it now and get someone in asap and hope we get a temp upswing with the same garbage get top 4 and we just revisit the same problem in 18 months

Fcuking grow up

Right ok, what the hell is it with people and the word fuck on this forum. That guy Steve is afraid to even write the word. He could get away with the fact he abbreviates it into a smaller word but what the fuck is this?

You’ve used the right number of words but you just spelt it wrongly ?!? Why!

I am more than up for getting rid of ENIC, but if we're being honest any change to the ownership of this club is going to happen long after Conte has been replaced.

Conte might be ideal if we became an oil club, but unless that ever happens he's just the wrong fit. And I say this as someone desperate for him to be successful here.

Who is the right fit though. Does it matter? Levy won’t back him with the players he wants in and out of the club whoever the manager is. There’s evidence for over a decade that there is no appetite for that. Poch is still sitting in his house with no furniture!

which proves in the long term that that doesn’t work.

What if he does want to commit but levy doesn’t? He’s not exactly sounding like a man in these interviews that wants to leave and give up.

It is increasingly looking like levy won’t offer him that contract. We all think it’s Conte who doesn’t want to sign it but it could easily be the other way around.

yep that unfortently is scenario 3. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that Conte is very unhappy with the club ambition. That he wants to remain but Levy has had enough himself and would rather he left on the summer so he can bring in a 'coach' who can get the best out of the young players and not demand big money transfers and large squad turnover

It’s going to be 100% that. Can see it a mile off. This bad form is helping nobody but levy. He’ll probably sack him in the next couple of weeks, appoint Mason and write off the season

I get all that, but we could be waiting years for someone rich enough to buy out ENIC. In the meantime we will need a manager so it may as well be one who wants to commit up front to a three or four year contract who wants to play attacking football but can work under a budget (or ideally a DoF)

Is that good enough? No. Is that all we deserve? Absolutely not.

It is not this as scummy as Levy is, Conte has had plenty of time to negotiate a contract extension. Conte just looks like the wrong man at the wrong time.

Conte could put extreme pressure on the board right now then just by saying "I want to sign a new deal but I haven't been offered one"

If he comes out and says that it will really set the cat amongst the pigeons. He's volatile enough to do it, and if Levy's holding out he's got nothing to lose.
