White has been a CM for most of his career, but do we think Conte sees him as a potential option at LWB?

White does have a sweet left foot, but to play WB for Conte you have to be one of the fittest players in the team.

Wiki tells me White isn't 21 until September, so presumably he would be a free pick not taking up any of our 25 squad places?
Harvey has this one last season as U21 and will not need to be included in the squad.
Obvs depending on how he does pre-season Conte may keep him, particularly as Perisic seems to be still struggling with an injury.
IMO ideally he would get a loan until January and then perhaps feature in cup games.
I suggested him before as a LWB but is he strong enough? I thought he tackled well today.

We get a trophy for winning this game? Korean champions? Hyundai Cup?

Are we even allowed to say this anymore??? I'm so confused!!

Do you think South Koreans can't tell the difference between the French/Italian/Brits or Germans??

Probably not!! We all look the same to them!

Bloody hell it's a minefield! (and I didn't even say Bruddy Hell!)
In a previous life I worked out of the press room at the Old Bailey (the Central Criminal Court in London).

In one very minor case I was covering concerning some crime or other that had taken place in Chinatown, the key witnesses were a couple of Chinese chaps. They were asked about their identification of the (Caucasian) suspects and they both admitted that they couldn't really distinguish between white folk that well ("You all look the same to me" said one, which gave the press their strapline for the day from this otherwise fairly dull story).

How we laughed. However, I found out many years later, long after I'd left the press, that this is in fact a well-known "syndrome" - humans, on the whole, are often pretty awful at distinguishing between people from other ethnic groups. It has an official name (which I can't remember of course), there have been numerous studies into it and it is a tool in a lawyer's armoury if they want to discredit ID evidence and testimony if two very different ethnicities are involved. It even makes it into an episode of The Good Wife, where it comes up and causes much hand-wringing among Chicago's liberal legal profession, even tho it's perfectly accepted in criminology (and other) circles as being "a thing".

Edit: Apparently its known as "cross-race effect", among other names such as "own-race bias"

Our new set piece specialist coach will probably like Harvey White's delivery of a dead ball.....

In terms of playing WB, I agree the defensive side is important but also for Conte the player has to have an engine to get up and down the flank. With the extra subs, White could be an option for the last 20 minutes or so to keep the likes of Perisic & Sess fresh.

East Asians look different than local Southeast Asians though, except the Southeast Asians that are ethnically Chinese. It'd be like saying white Western Europeans look the same as people from the Middle East or white Americans look similar to Latinos. They have similar physical characteristics but they do look different.
