Because it reflected the view of Spurs fans but more importantly Mourinho thought the players were excellent, he tried to previously buy them. He said he will win the league THIS YEAR with them he rated them so highly. Because he has gone on to buy a fair few of them and offering contracts to two of them.
So just because Mourinho was wrong to think this squad is good, that does not mean the squad is actually good. Most of them got Poch fired as well. They got 5 wins in pochs last 24 league games.

Yeah let’s ignore the absolute sitter they missed when they trapped the ball in our six yard box
That is more worrying than the 22 shots business for me. Centre backs who don't judge the flight of the ball, miskicks under pressure that give away possession in front of goal. That is more of a problem than somebody shooting 10 yards wide from distance.

Still, there is silver lining. It improves my chances of getting a ticket for the cup final because nobody with a modicum of sense will apply for a game we are likely to lose between 4-0 and 6-0.
Wow, you're being a tad optimistic, i was thinking 7+ :) What is the record of goals scored in a final?

After having 3 title challenges, getting to CL final, finishing in the top four for 5yrs, getting to x2 FA Cup Semi-Finals, x1 League Cup final, x1 Legaue Cup semi-final!! ONLY good teams do this!

Dortmund were in the relegation zone for most of Klopp's last season in Germany, he left because his methods/voice etc no longer got the desired results from the team, the same happened with Poch. This is completly understandable.

A good manager gets the best out of a squad, gets them performing better than the sum of their parts. It's why managers get sacked when they can no longer achieve this. Good managers improve teams.
