Not really. How does the above law relate to the incident? It refers to a foul happening before the offside offence.

Kane was clearly offside. That was the first offence. The game should have been stopped and a free kick given. We were very fortunate to be given a penalty.
No because the law states offside offence, being in an offside position is not an offence. See Kane penalty at Anfield last season as evidence, the Lovren/Karius one.

Affecting the play or playing at the ball in an offside position is an offence, being fouled whilst offside is clearly stated in that rule as being a foul.

Go look at the comments under the Guardian article. Every top voted post is people saying how pro-Spurs the refs are and how our players are all divers and cheaters and nasty, etc. And I imagine that will be the main narrative from the media this coming week as well.

Fucking vegans.

From an attacking perspective Trippier's final ball was poor, BUT defensively he was very good made a lot of key blocks/tackles and clearances.

was by no means our worst player today. Eriksen for example was dross.

Crazy talk. There are CBs as young and demonstrably better footballers than him that moved in the last 2 summers for half his cost. He was overpriced and overrated by many supporters. It is ok to admit it. We have to hope he improves (not just his footballing ability but his awareness and composure) because with what we paid we are really stuck with him if he doesn't.

If it were not for the fact that we so often play 3 cbs, Sanchez would be lucky to start.
Do you wanna spend money or not? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Clearly Poch wanted him and Levy got him.

And to write off a CB at age 22 is lunacy. He’s been inconsistent but there’s been matches where he’s been out best player on the pitch over the past 2 seasons.

My initial comment sitting in the shitty traffic in Wembley. Absolutely Disgusted with the refereeing today, something is up, it needs to be seriously looked at.

Sissoko our best player.
Eriksen looks to be on holiday.
Trippier and son low on confidence.

Tje biggest frustration was the lack of opportunity we gave Llorente when he came on compared to the opportunities Aubameyang had.

Woolwich ain't great but they were the better side but they had their full squad bar Bellerin.

We need to rebuild and another striker is key to that.
If Lacazette is unhappy over there, I would welcome him with open arms.

He really was abject. There was one moment, against Xhaka, where he just fell over for no reason. He refuses to get stuck into any challenge.

All I remember from the 2nd half is EVERY Gooner going down like he'd been shot, any time one of our players LOOKED at him wrong...

ArseFan tv tonight... #Prayforus

I hope their families have been informed... 'cos it looked like a massacre out there... red bodies EVERYEHERE!

FUCKING shame on the game... but at least they got the penalty their human sacrifice 'deserved'
:llorishowudoin:

#PrayForTheArseAnalXI... gone too soon!

FUCKING despicable Gooner Cunts...
Good to see how far they've stooped!

Bringing on Llorente was the worst move we made, stopped playing football and just started launching it Aimlessly

We'd been doing that all game though.

Notably no wide crosses the from the moment Llorente was brought on though... As per usual.

Feel sorry for the fucker.

Hairy’s Post Match Thoughts

1. Scrappy affair. Edge of the seat stuff. Loved it
2. Sanchez was poor, but he’s not as bad as some of these posts are describing.
3. Winks would have made the difference today.
4. Trippier played well, I still like him.
5. Gooner keeper robbed Sissoko of enormous glory
6. Both penalties were on the weak side, more so against us.
7. Llorente for Son? Unless Son is completely gassed, he should be on the pitch.
Trippier was diabolical all game imo

No idea what that means. It sounds like, even if you're fouled after being offside, the foul should be awarded?

When the free kick was taken, Kane was offside and therefore a free kick should have been awarded. He was then fouled and a penalty awarded.

We were very lucky.

They are complaining about Jan position during the pen. Fucking moaning cunts, they have no shame. Imagine moaning after missed pen how player got in before, like we seeing it 90% of the time. If Auba is that good he scores that pen. If Auba is that good he scores that sitter no matter what Jan does.

Fucking pricks, hate them more than anything.

Thought he was more up for it than recently tbh

He was obviously frustrated. The midfield simply isn’t working. Vic and Sissoko were stood on top of each other so Eriksen was having to drop really deep. Kane spent half the game on the half way line.

He just didn’t seem to have any space whatsoever. Maybe the Scum just did a good job on him.
