Meanwhile, back at the imaginary stadium, it looks like the basement is shaping up nicely.

Does anyone have any idea if we hypothetically do move to Wembley for a season, will they start offering new season tickets then as it will be a larger capacity? Or do you think it will all stay the same until they can offer them for the new stadium?

If it's Wembley the capacity would be 50k or so. I would think that they wouldn't want to put extra season tickets for a one off. The new stadium will have it's own new arrangement so I would think they would just give the current holders equivalent tickets at Wembley and do a big scheme for the new place.

Tottenham Hotspur stadium contract for local firm

A Magherafelt-based company is celebrating landing a lucrative contract to develop the 3D building information model of Tottenham Hotspurs’ new 61,000 capacity football stadium.

A director of RCDS (NI) Ltd, Michael Dunbar said the stadium contract was the biggest the company has secured to date and they will be working on it until the end of 2017

Michael and his business partner Stephen O’Hara set up the company seven years ago when they took a big risk and went out on their own, leaving their jobs at Creagh Concrete.

Initially, they worked from their bedrooms until work started to come in and now they have three offices across Northern Ireland - Magherafelt, Limavady and Lisburn, employing ten people.

Michael, who lives in Magherafelt, says the company will be modelling the precast concrete units within the stadium to include terracing, support beams and stairs.

The total cost of the stadium is estimated at £400 million and its expected to be open in time for the 2018-19 season.

He describes it as a niche market involving highly specialised work. “The Tottenham contract is worth a six figure sum to us,” he explained. “We will have four people working full time on it.”

Michael said the contract comes on the back of a successful 2015 which saw the company pick up first place in the Tekla National BIM Model awards for works at 3 St Pancras Square, London.

They have also worked on prisons, Leeds Arena and Cambridge University students accommodation.

“We have worked on a variety of high profile projects throughout the UK and Ireland and are delighted to be involved in this prestigious project at one of the Premier League’s top football clubs,” he added

Just had a revisit of Skyscrapercity, fuck it's turned dull talking about whether there is soil movement and concrete going down is for binding before more concrete... zzzzzz :pochfacepalm::pritchardeyes:

The Club can confirm that the Northumberland Development Project has now received approval from the Mayor of London.

Daniel Levy, Chairman, said: "This marks yet another major milestone for this vital and complex scheme and we are grateful to the Mayor for his ongoing support. We remain focussed on completing the final stages of the planning process.

"This new scheme carries enormous public benefits and will play a key role in kick-starting place change, bringing exceptional opportunities for the local community and wider stakeholders. We are proud to be part of this important step forward for an area that has been our home for more than 130 years and where we shall continue to live and play our part."

Boris Johnson MP, Mayor of London, said: “White Hart Lane is already an iconic stadium, steeped in history, and the new venue will not only almost double its capacity, but provide world-class facilities to watch Premier League football, international sports events and concerts in the heart of the capital.

“The stadium will also be the focal point of a major drive to regenerate Tottenham, breathing new life into the area, creating jobs and boosting growth.”

As always we shall keep fans fully updated as the scheme progresses.
