Hello everyone
I hope I'm in the right place of this forum and apologize straight away for my bad English!

Me and 12 friends from my football club in Switzerland will fly to London at the end of December and watch the game on December 31st. against Bournemouth live in the stadium.
I have been a big Spurs fan for 20 years and have followed every game since then.

Unfortunately there are people in our team who have no idea about football and therefore support teams like Woolwich, Mancheseter City or United - so as you can see there are people there who simply have no idea about football or, in my opinion, are simply fashion fans.

But anyway, back to my question: Do you have any tips for me for our 4 day stay in London? None of us have ever been to the English capital and perhaps your tips will help me convert one or two of them and bring them to their senses. The aim is for at least 2 of the 3 Woolwich sympathizers to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium wearing a bright white Spurs shirt.

Thanks for every tip and for tonight: COYS against Crystall

Greetings Tottenham fans!
Leicester fan here attending the Womens FA Cup semi final in a couple of weeks.

Thought I'd piggy back on this thread rather than start a new one.

Travelling from the East Midlands and planning to park somewhere outside the area and tube it in? Any recommendations. A quick eyeballing of it suggests maybe somewhere like Cheshunt and then tube ti WHL might work, or would be welcome to any other suggestions.

Don't forget, you can leave your keys in your car pretty much anywhere in the area and it will be as safe as houses.

Ish.

A quick question for all ;

I'm staying in Hammersmith, so what would be the best way to get to the stadium using public transport....barring strikes obviously.
Whichever route you choose it's a good idea to keep a tab on how much the day costs you so that afterwards you can walk along the High Road with your head down muttering "for fucks sake, I spent £xxx to watch that rubbish!".

Memories. When me and my mate Martin went in the late 60's, we'd jump off at WHL Station and walk down to a wonderful cafe just before the junction with the High Rd for a full English.
Then on to Warmington House for a few beers and to see the lovely Mary (RIP, God rest her soul) for away train tickets for the following week.
God I miss those days

For fuck sake, whatever you do, don’t book a hotel in Tottenham.

If you and your pals are into female/mixed wrestling, try these

Female Wrestler | Oilwrestlingparties | England - beer / scantily clad female wrestlers. This is in east London.

OR

www.thesubmissionroom.co.uk

This is a more personal experience where you go one on one (or one on two) with female wrestlers.

This is based in Tottenham on avenue road, a short 10/15 minute walk from Seven Sisters station.

OR

Similar to the submission room but with a different line up of girls and based in Walthamstow just off Hoe street. (Not a pun!)

You’re welcome!

Enjoy your time in London however you choose to spend it.

Thanks very much guys.

You got three replies, and three different answers. Which partly goes to show that it's also personal preference. As someone from abroad, who's come a few times a season, I've always enjoyed the walk from Seven Sisters. But perhaps just because that's what I did the very first time way back when, so it's become a part of the tradition. Either way, the feeling of slowly getting closer (while walking, not on a train) and then finally seeing the stadium appeals strongly to me.

So I have been waiting for my first chance to go to the new stadium, as a non-season ticket holder and non-member, I have opted to attend the WSL Game against Man Utd (was meant to be in September but the Queen went and died).

We are in block 103, row 12 and the seats look great. Quick question though, whats there to eat in the stadium/on way from Northumberland Park?
I hope you tried the Fish and Chip shop outside Northumberland Park station, it's delicious!! Great value and good portions.

Well?

What are you thoughts on the stadium? The food? And Chick King (which I think is shite)??
The stadium is immense, so much bigger and better than WHL!
Found the food to be ok inside (we didn't go to Chick King in the end).

I don't know if it is just me, but the stadium seems a lot easier to get to than WHL was

Thank you for the info.
Do you have any suggestions? Which hotel or location would be better?
I’ll probably get lynched for saying it (as it’s Gooner territory), but I’d consider Angel/Highbury & Islington.

There’s lots and lots of bars and restaurants in the evening and you’re well placed to get to both Spurs and central London.

You could also consider staying in the city near Liverpool Street. Depending what days you’re here, you can get good rates at the weekend as most hotels are business focused… so maybe they ramp down over New Year? You’d have to check. But that way you can get the train straight to White Hart Lane and you have loads of good areas to go from there… Spittlefields Market, Brick Lane, Shoreditch etc.

In terms of things to do, agree with Mrs P. The Stadium Tour and Skywalk are brilliant.

Then New Years Eve I’d just plan to be near the river and watch the fireworks near London Eye.

If you can make the darts it will be VERY funny. English at their best/worst.

There’s a very friendly place called The Griffin near Clerkenwell if you stay in the Liverpool Street area.

Very lovely views to be had if that’s your thing.

Or maybe you are looking more for a Blue Oyster bar type place?? Sure some on here could make recommendations.

There’s also escape rooms in that area and one particular fellow on here knows of places where you need to wrestle your way out of “interesting” positions. Which I guess is like an escape room???

You can’t help but love London for whats on offer.
