Not true.

LOL

Being insistent that a modern wide forward must play like a "winger" is seemingly be what's tripping you over here.
Nahh just a modern wide forward that can take a guy one on one. Kulu doesnt have the pace and only turns up against weak defenders

IDK i want to see more of Kulu before I call him a world class talent and a huge success. Some on here are acting like hes Messi. he cant seem to beat his man, and sometimes goes missing in games, but then crops up with a goal against weaker sides.

I do think we need that pace for balance.
He's the same age as Ollie Skipp and Jack Clarke (give or take a few months!)

They're KIDS!!
...but Deki has shown more in his half a season here to promise he will only get better and better....

If Skipp gets back to full fitness, that's 2 vital cogs who will go some way to provide one hell of a midfield that we could have for YEARS to come!

He is absolutely Waddle Mk II.
He's just gotta grow the hair out a bit ...

Wait, what....? Still on LOAN?
Is this part of the master long-term plan... Or is Levy deferring a transfer fee for another 12 months so he can spend it elsewhere??

You wiley old fox, you!
He is staying on loan into next season. Once he has played 20 games for us next season (it is unclear on if it is strictly next season or if his numbers this season carry over) we will activate the obligation.

That way we push his fee onto the January window or next summer's window. So we have more of this summer's money available for other signings.

If Kulusevski had all his current technical ability but Son's body, would he not be a better player? Of course technique trumps simple physicality, but his lack of acceleration and agility does cause problems time to time.
It's not always the case that technique trumps simple physicality - if it was so simple it would be Gil and not Kulusevski playing regularly (as a WRF).
Kulusevski knows how to use his upper body strength to shield that ball and shield off defenders either as he (tries to get) past them or waits for the right moment to release the ball. Defenders now know that it's hard to knock him off the ball due to his physique, so if they get too close to Kulu he can use his physique and technique to get past them while Son, despite of being faster, has a higher risk of losing the ball in tight situations but also have a bigger chance of not being caught if he manages to get paster opponents.

How exactly does it cause "problems?"
He's missed a few long balls when he couldn't outpace the defender like Son does. He's easier to "herd" against the touchline, like Liverpool did repeatedly.

Not saying he's slow, but it is a (relatively minor) issue. I don't understand why some of you people get so fucking defensive over a player.

Not everything he does is perfect.
