Yep, I think Bissouma showed on Saturday he should be priority for cm. Totally outclassed our CM on and off the ball. Love the way he can make time for himself and then drive through the space he makes, drawing players out
Pick up the all deep and drive through the space - exactly that . Haven't had a player capable of doing that since magnificent Moussa . Guess that was what we hoped we'd get with Ndombellend.

We don't need Romero marauding forward. With a back 5, we need wingbacks pushing forward and creating width, not someone with no proven offensive skills playing ahead of the midfield for half the match. Adding a LCB means that we'll have more protection at the back so that the WBs can play a more offensive game.

I think we do need them getting forward. Well, not "forward", but just running to be an extra man in possession, which enables the next runner and next extra man to go forward, until theoretically, we have a man with an open shot or run at goal. Sheffield United under Farke, with far inferior players, absolutely smoked us for the double a couple seasons back using these tactics. I think it would be good football to have Romero and LCB alternating getting forward when we are the dominant team to help provide an extra man in attack, and I think they have/would-have plenty of skill to do so.

Tchouameni apparently ‘available’ for 60M

Could CL lure him? Would be a huge coup

Swap Tchouameni for Ndombele and you have the same scenario back in 2019 and didn't that turn out well

I would be very wary spending that much on another midfielder from Ligue 1

Filip Kostic at Frankfurt, lwb/LM has one year remaining on his contract and has the same agent as Kulusevski. The guy is on fire atm and could transform our left side under Conte.

I can understand the thinking behind having Romero marading forward. With a 2 man midfield, and WB who almost function as wingers, or even shadow-striker (doherty), the middle of the pitch can become huge open ground, very dangerous on turnovers.

There are other tactical benefits to haivng roaming CBs instead of the midfield pushing forward. Not to say that PEH doesn't join attacks either.

It's actually been quite impressive to watch when Davies was linking up with Kane and Regui as they ripped through the oppo defence.

They don't really play the same position so it's hard to make any real comparison. Maddison vs Eriksen makes more sense.
Would rather have Eriksen, much more professional, and despite the heart issue, is actually injury resistant.

Looks like the rumor about Ronnie Edwards have "legs"...

Crystal Palace line up move for £15m-rated teenage defender Ronnie Edwards... as Patrick Vieira looks to add another hot prospect to his exciting young squad at Selhurst Park

  • Crystal Palace are interested in signing Peterborough defender Ronnie Edwards
  • He has thrived in the Championship, and also caught the eye of Tottenham

Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira is already planning for the next stage of the rebuild of his squad and will battle it out with Tottenham for Ronnie Edwards, Peterborough’s £15million-rated England under-19 defender.

Palace have won plaudits this season for their emerging talents such as young England internationals Marc Guehi, Conor Gallagher and Tyrick Mitchell.

Centre-back Edwards, 19 last month, has been a regular in The Championship as well as impressing against Manchester City in the FA Cup. Spurs are also taking note of Edwards, but Palace hope Vieira’s record in giving young players a chance gives them an advantage.

We could win by loaning him back for a season

Dorrington two years younger?

Is this guy England youth regular, or, break out this season?

Would like 5 of these, scattered amongst squad/U23/loans, to bolster our gaps and make 1-2 every 1-2seasons the norm, for 1st team squad or sizeable sale ala Chelsea’s flourishing set up (in this sickening sense, given Arneson set the infrastructure in place).

Yeah, Lautaro isn't gonna link up with Son like Kane does. If anything I could envision Kulu taking the Kane role and Lautaro taking Kulu's role, but more central close to Son, on the edge of the box, not out wide, delivering crosses.

As TomHotspur TomHotspur said, he'd be a great backup for Kane, but play a different role. I don't think he's worth 70m though.
Why would you put Kulu, a left-footer who's very comfortable in his present position, in the middle and Martinez, a right-footed CF, in Kulu's present position?

Manchester City have agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 21. (Mail)

City are poised to trigger the £62m release clause in Haaland's contract (Sky Sports)

Real Madrid are reluctant to meet Haaland's wage demands because they do not want to unsettle their dressing room of stars by making the striker the highest-paid player in the squad. (Goal)
