If Kane indicated he might leave then he risks Jose saying he is not ready and not playing him. Southgate has said he needs to be playing for his club to play in the euros. Therefore there is no way Kane would be that stupid to say anything regarding leaving. He has a contract and will have no option but to stay.
I think you're overthinking this. There are too many maybes and caveats. We don't even know if he actually does want to leave. And then if he did, we couldn't assume what his exit strategy would be. And Kane is clearly an exception to the rule that he has to be playing regularly for his club to get into the England team. As long as he's fit, he's there. Unless you're telling us that Southgate will commit suicide by excluding his captain and best player to use Rashford or Abraham up front.

I know this might not mean much in this time and age, but if he's truly Spurs, he'll never go to those teams. I'd go even further to say that he wouldn't leave full stop, but that would be a fallacy I guess.
The lack of loyalty in football, which helps to create a sport where clubs just seem like interchangeable businesses to neutrals like me, is sad. At the same time, in an era where clubs are so commercialised and nothing and nobody seems permanent, it seems almost like expecting Harry to travel back in time if it comes down to sacrificing any chance of winning a trophy (hypothetically) to stay at Spurs.

I did think about this a while back though and if he does manage to go his entire career without winning anything yet breaking all the individual records he has and is, he would without a doubt be the single greatest player of all time to have never won a team trophy. That would be a unique achievement in its own right.

It would be criminal for a player of his talent to end his career without a single trophy

Stay with us and that’s what will happen

We've already guided him to some prestigious silverware. Look how happy he looks

I'd be disappointed if he forced a move away this summer. If I were him I'd give spurs one full season under Mourinho to see what happens, trying my best to stay healthy for at least 80 percent of it.

Of course if we don't invest this summer then I really won't begrudge him for not forcing a move summer 2021

Let’s be honest, this club are allergic to trophies. Allergic to winning and allergic to success. Certainly in my lifetime as a Spurs supporter. Others who were around in the 80s saw some decent success and others beforehand, but in general our club a complete shambles when it comes to actually achieving something. Kane unfortunately isn’t going to win anything at Spurs. Our biggest and greatest chance come and went last season in the CL final where we truly fucked it and didn’t even turn up for one of the biggest games in the clubs history. A losers mentality festered throughout the whole club and I don’t blame Kane one bit. He always said he’s happy to stay aslong as the club matches his ambition and moves forward. We are moving backwards as a club, Kane will go I’m pretty certain of it.

Well, it's only been abut 18 months since the press last tried to sell him.
18 months? Is there some joke I don't get related to that specific number? There are mainstream media articles about him potentially leaving or "needing to leave" (as all the pundits say) at least once a month.

he’s probably looking at Mourinho’s team and thinking better of his early statements about trophy wins etc...

All that bringing in a proven winner stuff is utterly laughable now.

I dunno, Shearer went to his boyhood club instead of Man U out of love and won sod all.
At least he had a league winner's medal wrapped up by that stage.

If Harry stays with us, he risks winning nothing in a great career bar a few personal trophies. Is that enough to entice him? Chance to be the best Premier League striker of all time and club record scorer?

different this time. We got lucky with a young club. Now, largely due to lack of investment, we are nose diving. Why would he watch to stay.#levyout

We are essentially a mediocre mid table team now, with a squad that needs a complete overhaul. It could take years to be back challenging even for Top 4 again. We're not going to hang onto him this summer. Don't know why he'd want to go to Man U though. From one mess to another. They've been like that for 7 seasons now and its not getting a whole lot better there.

Is it pissing anybody else off that every other sentence out of Kane's mouth is about being ready for he Euro's??

What are Spurs? chopped Liver? Spurs pay your wages not England! Get your priorities straight
