Always thought he was more Indian looking myself.
He has the look of the indigenous people of the Amazon, rather than the migrated Caribbean.

Paul done well...

Keep reading stuff about how Neymar really wants Paulinho to join, and Paulinho is going to meet his team's chairman to ask him to accept the Barca offer.

Or..........it could be a very dodgy business deal. Josep Maria Bartomeu Floreta (Barca President) is a partner and CEO at ADELTE Group which is into designing, manufacturing, supplying and maintaining airports, seaports and road transport operations.Happy for him - never hated the guy. Takes some commitment to go and turn your career around in China

ADELTE Group is expanding into China and bidding on projects like the Ocean Flower Island being built by the Evergrande group which also happens to be the parent organisation of—you guessed it—Guangzhou.
Florentino Perez’s (Real Madrid's President) ACS Group was also bidding for the project, but with the Paulinho transfer concluded, the contract is handed over to ADELTE Group and/or associates.
Bartomeu’s is of course still awaiting trial for Tax fraud.
Personally I couldn't give a fuck about either Barca or Paulinho but absolutely no-one is talking about how great this deal is. Scratch at the surface of a festering pit of corruption and fraud and it's not hard to find why this deal could have happened. It sure as shit isn't about the quality of his game.
How much did we get for him from China?
