Indeed, and if Poch wanted to use him there I would've expected to see him getting minutes in that position during pre-season.

We'd only make the overall team weaker by moving Dier back, fingers crossed Wimmer or Vertonghen will make it. If not, I know it was in a back 3 at the Euros but Davies could do a job there.

Like Vertonghen playing at LB under AVB, it's not a good move outside of dire emergencies, because it weakens two positions instead of one. Dier is a CM now.
