After tonight's games:

1. Italy - 15.00
2. Germany - 14.07
------------------------
3. England - 13.87
4. Spain - 12.93

Dortmund failing to win helps. Woolwich winning tomorrow may just see England move into the top two.

Could do with Barca beating Napoli too.

So we have to support the Scum tomorrow?

Germany have a couple of teams playing Thursday too so pretty much guaranteed to fall behind for now until all the English teams start playing in the next round.

Freiburg (Bundesliga) drawn against West Ham in Europa will be an important couple of games.
Also Brighton up against Roma

I can't say that I'm convinced PL gets that 5th place, when its predicated upon wins for Wham and Brighton (especially against a resurgent Roma).

At best I'd suggest its a very tight call.

But maybe things become clearer in a month when competitions are at a more final stage

So do you get the same amount of co-ef points for a win in the EL as you do in the CL?
Yeah pretty much, 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw in each and then bonus points for the following

Champions League bonus points
4 - Group stage participation
5 - Round of 16
1 - QF, SF, final

Europa League bonus points
4 - Group winners
2 - Group runners-up
1 - Round of 16, QF, SF, final

Europa Conference League bonus points
2 - Group winners
1 - Group runners-up
1 - SF, final

Weirdly you could get the same number of points by finishing 3rd in your CL group and then winning the Europa League than by winning your CL group and then winning the CL. You can also get more points by finishing 2nd in your Europa League group and winning the extra 2 playoff round games than if you won your Europa League group.

Apparently they are changing the scoring system next season though...

Rewarding mediocrity. What a mess......

Here's a simple idea... Give an extra spot to whatever league generates the CL winner that season and drop all the bullshit.
