I think you'll find those are the people who will claim this has been a good window.
As you well know, I'm not one of them. Trippier is better than both, but not good enough for a team aspiring to win the major trophies.
That's why we should have upgraded.

I think selling Trippier was a dick move but as I’ve said for nearly two years now you could put any RB in the history of football into last years team and it would not have had a single effect on our attackers playing shit.

So for me, I don’t really care if it’s Aurier or KWP.
The biggest blessing for me is Dele being injured and the signing of Lo Celso.

That should make an infinitely bigger difference than Wan Bissaka.
So a better window than it was a poor one for me, especially with Ndombele.

Hopefully Sessengon proves me wrong so lots to look forward to.

So if we don't get top 4 it'll be because Lo Celso wasnt good enough?

Partly....unless you now think expensive signings are here to make us finish lower

I think you can free agents. So Fernando can come back and jump about a bit again. For free. Ish
Even if they are free agents?
He is not registered to any club so he can sign for any club at any time.
There could be an issue about registering him in an ECL/EPL squad.
Yeah you're right, I forgot he hadn't signed for a new club, I think as long as he remains a free agent he can sign anytime, right?

At least that used to be the case

I'm not convinced any club goes into the new season thinking everything is sorted however...

we wanted a clear signal from Levy that Poch would be backed. I personally feel he has done this, sure I feel CE is stale and the Toby situation worries me but as it stands i'm happy with the signings and poch should be too.

We've not added huge quantity but they are quality signings...

We have a few players coming back from injury (sure Foyth and Ali will be out a couple of weeks) but for once we have a strong capable squad going into the season. All this along with blooding in a few youngsters.

We're not scared to sign players in January and next summer we already have Clarke coming in. I don't believe this is one season wonder, if we get CL again we will strengthen next summer.

this is a sustainable improvement, that excites me as it's not shit or bust.

I know there is still time, but I am disappointed we have not managed to shift more of our squad players.

Relieved we finally got Lo Celso, but overall, it's been a real mixed bag for me. We've let problems pile up for years, and it was always going to be a big ask to rectify them all in one window.

Bothered that Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Eriksen are running down their contracts.

Pretty much.

We got absolutely lambasted by pundits last season for not strengthening our line up or squad - yet Liverpool have pretty much done the EXACT same thing this year. (Bar goalkeeper depth) yet will probably get the likes of:

"How do you strengthen this team?"
"Who do you replace?"

etc etc

To be fair, there is some truth in that, Liverpool have just won the CL and reached the third highest points total in PL history, losing one game all season, to the team who reached the second highest total in history, without players like OC, Lallana and Keita/Fabinho having settling seasons, their front three all scoring goals, their FB's smashing it, without any pre-season either, we on the other hand, desperately needed strengthening a year ago, we have spent a season with no fit orthodox 6/DM and makeshift 8/CM's, our most creative player winding down a contract, a back up striker who can't run, and took something like 11 points from our last 12 games - relegation form over a third of the season.

It was a fuck of a lot easier for 2017/2018/2019 us to strengthen than it is for 19/20 Liverpool in all honesty.

Agreed, we still have dead weight like GKN and a broken Wanyama at the club why oh why?

We should of shipped them off this season and put the money towards paying off Dybala's image rights.
