The criticism of Son on here is ridiculous. He had twice the first season that Lamela had, just give him time and let him settle, we'd all have regretted selling Lamela after his first season, and I expect much the same of Son. Son proved he could do it in Germany and Lamela did it for one season in Italy, but that one season was enough for us to stick with him, so why should we just write off Son's 3 good years in Germany?
As much as football agents are a cancer on the game most of the time, they do at least do a good job of helping to shift the deadwood. If this Fazio deal goes through it'll be a case in point, not to mention other examples like getting shot of Chiriches and Paulinho for decent fees...

8m for Caulker looked cynical when we sold him, but his reputation collapsed afterwards and look how terrible his transfer decisions have been.

Bit of a stretch to call Bentaleb our academy product. He bounced around a lot of youth programs and settled in at Spurs pretty late.

I think the transfer decisions highlight what a self-gratifying waste some "advisors" are to young players.
Cardiff, QPR, Southampton, Liverpool isn't too shabby. Shame he's look terrible for all of them. He was the next Ledley King how quickly his reputation has fallen. I bet he's still on a nice bit of wedge at QPR though.
