As opposed to coaching the 10 very good to excellent CMs we already have here..?

Says a lot IMO

Right now, that money would be better spent on a striker.

You can have 10 very good to excellent pieces of wood, but if they don't arrange to make the building you need they equate to fuck all.

They are good players for the most part, but far too similar in their own rights and have too many lackings as a whole.

I think Richards is a very underrated player, but have you seen him this summer?

He would come for a very low fee and has a lot to prove. He would provide cover and competition for CB and RB. I haven't watched much of City this summer, he came on at Wembley though. Think it's too early to Write him off and we should consider a deal before Harry strikes!

Too similar?

Dembele and Holtby?
Bentaleb and Sandro?
Paulinho and Capoue?
Chadli and Eriksen?
Carrol and Lamela?

Like I said, if a manger cant work around that, he cant be a very good manager.

Its called coaching.

Oh I'm not writing him off at all, in fact I was saying a lot of the same things at the beginning of the summer that you are now. But he has gotten absolutely massive, and looks to possibly have lost a step as a result of such bulk (or could simply be the injury).

The point was in reference to the players in positions in which Schneiderlin would play, which rules out 2/5 your names there, and Holtby provides the only particular uniqueness from the remainder but lacks physicality.

He played in one of the many games City played in US, nothing outstanding just like the rest of the English players they bought just looks a very lost soul now, with their latest 32M CB overpriced toy surely he isnt needed

We are going round in circles mate.

My belief is that a good manager should be able to coach one of our existing players to play MS's role very well.

Mayhaps, and I think that's fair, but how long are we genuinely willing to afford him? Can you blame him if he sees our recent track record with managers, and feels more confident in successfully instilling his practices in time with a player of his choosing?

Yes, that's what I have heard. Just think that it's not something you can not repair and that Poch's training could make a beast of him again. If there is good reason to stay away I'm sure we will though. Clubs tend to be well informed about these things.
