Yes he backed Steven's story. The problem is now between the boards according to what they say in this program. PSV's board saw no reason for Bergwijn to travel to London, since there is no deal. Allegedly they aren't happy with the way Spurs are dealing with Bergwijn and want to pull out.

If true, €30m (£25m) in today's market for a taltneted looking 22 year old that can help put pressure on Son, Dele, Lucas just seems like too good a deal not to be had.

Pretty much averages a goal or assist a game in the Dutch league this season. Tasty numbers and a price that allows us to invest in other areas as needed without going mental with our money.

Gedson, Bergwijn and Piatek would be the best January window we have ever had and if figures are to be believed it'll cost us about £60m. I like how that would leave us and the way we would still have funds heavily loaded for other departments as we move forward.

We've been linked with him in previous windows and he has turned out against us in the Champions League. A very good prospect but my knowledge of how he's done based on performances away from stats over the past year I couldn't tell you.
