Sad to see Senegal drop out but Pape's been a massive miss as our midfield engine. Marked difference in our ball progression with his energy on the pitch.

Will we see Biss back too?? :bissoumahear:

So many of our fans are overly happy about Sarr being eliminated.

I have a different view. If Sarr doesn't win trophies with Senegal, the itch to win trophies at club level will only incresse.

Levy's top 4 title and the Deloitte's money league will not be enough to keep him happy.

He's just signed a contract until 2030. We can worry about selling him in 4 years time.

Sarr Maddison and Bentancur against Everton

I doubt it, he just played 120 minutes, and he looked completely exhausted by the end of it.
5 days rest and he's a hell of an athlete. He will be at least in the squad Saturday
He will fly back today, take a day off, back in training for Everton.

He's young so plenty more tournaments ahead of him, Sarr will want to play again ASAP.

I mean, yea, he played 120 minutes. And I totally believe he could have been totally exhausted by the end of it.

But first of all, he is 21. So the recovery time for him is faster than someone around 35.
Second of all, he is lighweight and agile lad, from what is available, he is only 70 kg .. less muscle mass to recover needed.
Third of all - we do often play with 2-3 days pauses in EPL where tempo is really high. So quick recovery is hardly a new thing.
Fourth of all - he is VERY important part of our engine room. He has played many games and minutes, he already knows what Ange wants from him. So it could easily be almost only recovering trainings between now and Everton game for him. And after the game as well - he can have lighter training regime that is personally adjusted for him and his recovery.

I do expect him to be starting against Everton.

God I've missed him in Lilywhite.
