Southampton bought another one of their academy players last season for £10,000,000 and also Bazanu off them the year before for about £15,000,000. Both of which had never even played Championship football before. Edozie too for £10,000,0000.
Even Burnley ended up paying close to £20,000,000 for Trafford who hadn't even played above League One football!
Yeah pretty mad, they sold Carlos Forbes (previously known as Carlos Borges) last season for £12m rising to £17m purely off the back of a good PL2 season. Never went on loan, never made a first team appearance for Man City.
