I don't think you can be certain so why the fuck did VAR intervene? It's just a joke especially after the handball jokehmmmmm I'm not sure that was outside.
If it's given as a penalty by the ref then VAR has to intervene.I don't think you can be certain so why the fuck did VAR intervene? It's just a joke especially after the handball joke

Yes, but to overturn that...isn't the standard still clear and obvious? If it's given as a penalty by the ref then VAR has to intervene.

I thought it was a pen but the call from VAR was that it was outside - clear and obvious doesn't come into it, in this case.Yes, but to overturn that...isn't the standard still clear and obvious?
Agreed.I mean they didn't even ask the ref to view it and say when HE the ONFIELD OFFICIAL believes the foul was committed. They just told him. It's so fucking inconsistent.
No, if it's a penalty given by the ref, I thought (could be wrong) that it is automatically checked, as every goal is.Only if its a clear and obvious mistake. It's not clear and obvious at all when that STOPS being a foul. So why the fuck is VAR so certain about it?
They gave a dodgy pen and then proceeded to double down and screw them again.Softens the blow slightly, at least we're 10 points ahead still.
Also the handball was top 3 bogus decisions in the VAR era.

absolutely conned...the foul was the body check which was on the line.
You got a lot of agrees but surely the place the foul first occurs is correct. That’s the first foul and what would be given. It’s like when someone is fouled but there was an earlier offside. Tough luck.Unless I'm stupid. You don't stop the clip, when contact is first made. You stop the clip when the foul ends. They kept stopping and reviewing the first contact and glossing over the fact that the foul continued into the box.
