you've got to hand it to Levy. His first choice as I'm sure everyone is now aware was the Olympic Stadium and it was never a bartering tool but he has managed to increase the public funding that was being offered which is a good thing. No specific tube station but improvements to WHL and Tottenham Hale as well as more parking and better all round infrastructure should help alleviate the normal congestion problems.

Finally let's hope we can start the wheels in motion.

His first choice was the NPD, but when he Haringey decided to start trying to fuck us up the arse, he turned his attention to the OS. Obviously that fell through, so he's turned back to the NDP and has fought to find a way to make it viable. Which it seems he is doing. Brilliant stuff.

Thoughts?

here are my thoughts, kanga...

haringey council is a very, very, very badly managed local authority.... where political correctness, ticking boxes and poverty pimping (to access central government funds), takes priority over delivering quality services for residents. baby p, victoria climbie, the sharon shoesmith debacle and the summer riots (which started in tottenham) are testimony to this.

Haringey Council will invest £9 million towards new and improved public spaces, heritage work and environmental improvements in North Tottenham.

they just cut - and in many cases wiped out - loads of local services for the vulnerable, elderly, disabled, children and youth (following withdrawal of central government funds). where is this 9 million coming from, all of a sudden? have they recovered some of the dough they blew when they invested in iceland? and wot were they doing, risking tax payers money in this way? the whole thing stinks.

Haringey Council Leader Claire Kober said: “We have said all along that we are eager to support Spurs in their efforts to stay in Tottenham.

load of rubbish. spurs were a cash cow haringey was happily milking, until levy threatened to walk.

claire kober: "They’re a great club, with a great history in a great area which really wants them to stay"

great area? tottenham's slowly become a shit hole, thanks to years and years of mismanagement by claie kober's haringey council! it got burnt down last summer things got so bad!

As part of the Club and the Council’s commitment to work together, both parties have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding which sets out the intentions of each to support delivery of the Northumberland Development Project

not worth the paper it's printed on. haringey council is known for rescinding on contractual obligations and only the threat of costly legal action prevents them from getting way with it...
