Yet our youth players can't get any minutes? I can't see how blooding in Donley throughout the season would have harmed us. So many passengers in this squad that just continuously get picked

But when we play badly with Ange’s tactics we look wide open at the back. If we are not good enough to beat the press or pass through it we lose the ball with everyone up the pitch apart from the 2 CBs.
With better tactics and structure in place we would be less relent on certain players to perform

Yep, without being hyperbolic, we've genuinely been more likely to conceed from an attack than score. Seriously. That's not right in a game of FIFA let alone the premier league ffs. It's mental.
 
NO DOUBT, ANGIE HAS BEEN CHECKEDMATED TODAY. Hope he learns from this. There has to be a plan B, passing and 80% possession means absolutely nothing without an end product. You need the players to emulate MC with this tactic. Oh well UPWARDS AND ONWARDS WE MARCH ON. COYS.
 
We have a fully fit team, no cup or European football. There’s no excuses for a showing like that. Newcastle's squad is decimated with injuries. He’s got a big job on now as any more performances like that the pressure will be on.

The fact our fanbase are enthusiastic about permanently signing Timo fucking Werner because he has put a few good balls in epitomises this mentality. A few good performances against Forest and Luton and our fans think a player is awesome. Half a good season and they're a world beater.

Is anyone getting excited about signing Werner?

I don’t think it’s a mentality thing either, we’ve come back more than anyone from behind I think.

It’s just about a lack of quality. Especially in the forward/attacking group.

If you are going to play high risk football, you need the quality up front to outscore the risk. Exactly what Klopp/Liverpool do. Concede chances but have a group of forwards who make the system pay out.

I don’t mind Ange’s philosophy, but we’ve got to improve the components.
