I think it's more down to the players available!
We need strengthening in a lot of positions this summer, that's for sure.
But i think he needs to have a rethink around the inverted fullbacks system. We're getting carved open time and time again, and not just against the top teams.
Mate, they downed tools last season cause the manager told them for being shite. Same as they did with Jose, Poch. So yeah of course we finished 8th but really we could've done much better.
Ange's improved our attacking metrics and we've scored more goals & points, but as I said above if the squad hadn't shamefully given up last year, no way we were finishing 8th...so Ange improving our league position has got to have some context.
We've also been utter shite at the back...how many goals conceded, so few clean sheets...and some players clearly gets passes despite awful form.
So perhaps he ain't the Messiah some have claimed cause he's a great PR man.
