Ruthless and unscrupulous money-maker. Very similar to Levy. Depends how much of a fan he actually is.

also aint scared to chance his arm & spend it.... slightly involved with everton through his friendship with
bill kenwright.. I think he put himself up as guarantor for something to with kenwrights finances at everton
but hasn't actually ever put any money in at all there.
he also put up the money behind terry venables to buy a stake in thfc.
levy is a puppet!.. green is on a par with joe lewis moneywise.

i m propably a minority , but i have no issues with how Levy is running the club when it comes to managers and players. I have an issue with the way we are treated as opinionless lemons to be squeezed and with the fact that he never ever breaks silence. But a man in his position has to be a shark and consider the finances. Most of us would ruin the club in a few months, we think with our hearts and he thinks with our wallet. A combo of both would be great , but there are very few men that occupy these positions that have that combo

The way he's dealt with managers has been ruthless.
The way he dealt with Real too , if we can believe the story's and ignore the theory that the price had been agreed all along and he just wanted to wait for the other deals to be done + give the impression he was playing hardball. the second option doesnt even seem that far fetched and if the player really wanted to leave, it would be a strategic masterstroke.

Imagine being a bussiness man to the bone and having to deal with employees who are able to underperform without you being able to really interfere , imagine having to pay them truckloads, cater to their every need and if they continually act the kid - you cant even do anything about it because that would destroy their value and as such devalorise the assets of your 'company'. And if you evaluate their performances at the end of the year, you cant fire them without having to pay silly money.

I'm glad he's no pushover to be honest , and it has downsides that's true and they are unfortunate but in the end he does what he does best. Its up to the board to decide if that's the way they want the club to be run.

We can disagree, we can voice our opinions but never forget that by accepting and paying whatever he asks us, we are de facto using our freedom of choice. You choose to be a fan of a PL club, even if the choice is made by your heart. We choose to accept the shit modern football throws at us. If it bothers us so much that we cant accept it anymore, we can always choose to walk away. But we dont because we love the club.

We'd have no money, but the boardroom antics would be hilarious and we would go after all of the players who have rude names. Like Danny Shittu.

Levy knows shit about football, but he's great with money.

This is obviously such a simplistic way to look at it. The fact is Levy has been in charge since 2001 and although it would be accurate to suggest he didn't have the knowledge or experience when he first embarked on the journey, Levy knows a damned sight more than the majority of fans, particularly on this forum about football and in particular, Spurs. He is also alot more knowledgeable than the majority of chairmen around.

He watches practically every game and his depth of knowledge goes deeper than most give him credit for. If you consider how astute he has been in his decision making both on and off the field, you would recognise that under ENIC, although it's not been smooth sailing, it's alot better than it could be.

Do you think the chairmen of other clubs know more than he does about the game, the club or the business of football? fuck no!! You think the owners at Man u, city, chelsea, liverpool, newcastle or west ham know more than Levy about their clubs, their heritage and such? Fuck no!

Firstly, there will never be bigger UK based owners of a club like Spurs than ENIC because as an asset, THFC is worth more to an international portfolio than a British one because there is only real value to those outside of the UK. There are a number of reason's for this, some are political, others are financial and there's absolutely no doubt that corruption is rife in all of football. From betting, money laundering, match fixing to wholesale PED abuse.

How investment in a UK business is, has been as political as it's been financial however the political dimension in football hasn't really been discussed in public forums much and no one's going to blow the lid off of a cash cow and industry which is not just a huge financial earning sector in every region of the world but also serves as a socio-political anesthesia for the masses.

Do you guys ever wonder who the Chechens, Dagestani and other ethnic Russians are, who invest so heavily into their football? Perhaps wondered who the old chairman of Pompey was Sacha Gaydamak or rather Arcadi his Father or even Abromovich? Perhaps you've wondered why an Uzbek and Iranian own part of Woolwich? Ever wondered who these Qatari owners of Man city, or the Kuwaiti's who own Forest are? What about the Saudi's who hold 50% of Sheffield Utd? Ever heard of the Venky's or Carson Yeung? Who remembers Thaksin Shinawatra?

Ever wondered why these wealthy people get attracted to Football particularly in the UK? Ever wondered why many of them have had or are having political and financial troubles in their native countries and almost every single one of them have had to deal with corruption charges?

Then there are the American's, they see the investment in football, as a franchise investment to expand their sports portfolio's and in good old capitalist fashion, they hedge the football clubs assets to squeeze every bit of financial leverage they can offset against it.

Finding Arab investors isn't reliable, whilst American's are going to be absolutely the worst for the club but it's looking like this is a partnership which is currently preferred by ENIC. Finding owners with the wealth and knowledge of the football club is extremely difficult and what ENIC are trying to do now is maximising the brands value.

The question should be whether Levy & Co are being greedy and can they see us into constant Champions League participants under them? So, please consider what you are wishing for when criticising Levy because he's a hell of alot more knowledgeable and alot less corrupt than the majority of chairmen in football today.
