If we take into account Lanzinis goal came from a set piece then we've still only let in 1 goal from an opposing player from open play in our last 7 league games.

Up until the 80th minute, we defended fine. I genuinely don't remember Lloris having to make a single save.

It's set pieces we haven't got a clue about.

Calvert-Lewin vs. Everton. Whilst the free kick was taken in the wrong place, Alderweireld and Dier were both ridiculously poor for it.

Penalty vs. Newcastle. Against, whilst it shouldn't even have been a free kick, we didn't deal with it well and were fucked from the resulting handball.

Twice today. Sissoko with a silly foul and then his fault for the actual Balbuena goal too. Then the equaliser, which against like at Newcastle, was NEVER a free kick but again just failed to deal with it and it lead to a wonder goal.

Fuck working on attacking drills in training - we have the best attack in the league. For the next few months, just work solely on defending and set pieces. Please.

Yeah King didn't lose us that game but I understand where you're coming from.

We need to move on as a club and submerging players back into the club from a period where we won basically fuck all could be dangerous.
You are a rare breed, understanding this nuance. I wish you well. It's a lonely place, being this perceptive.
Despite my track record of insight, the bemused masses still think I'm mad.

Imagine we had McGinn in the middle of the park today instead of Winks, for instance.

Shock horror, that the bloke with a username promoting violence against women has the chance to change it and still hasn't.
Lol hit a nerve. Don't worry when you're busy not getting jokes we just love everything else you contribute here, like sharing generic footy articles/tweets, betting nonsense no one gives a shit about and posts with no substance containing emojis only old people use

Being a stupid boomer at least gives you something of a personality you boring old vessel of a human.

As you all know, I'm often regarded as a barometer of Spurs supporter sentiment.
I know that many of you believe the abject collapse today and the embarrassing aftermath are redolent of Ledley King's continued and recently elevated involvement with the club. That uniquely frail losing mentality, especially at the back.

So, how many believe this? Should Ledley go on the back of this defeat?

I'm not having this Lanzini goal having come from a set piece. A goal from a set piece, in my book is where the ball gets punted into the box from a corner or free kick and headed or kicked etc. straight into the goal.
Today wasn't a goal as a result of a set piece, We could and should have easily cleared that. Having said that it was an absolute wonder strike that no matter what defensive attributes anyone has, you ain't stopping it. Argie cunt.

You always start interesting threads. I am Ledley in, but you are raising an interesting point

A little less fucking basketball, netball or whatever the hell that is, please, and more work on the defensive basics :llorisunsure:

I agree but you can’t teach defensive basics to useless cunts like Sanchez and Aurier and while we have either playing we’re in trouble defensively
When we have both playing plus Sissoko Winks and Moura we’re fucked
