Said we should’ve bought this guy 2 years ago. Now he’s a star at Napoli and 10x as expensive. ManU talking about paying a €50 million release fee for him.
Napoli has DS Giuntoli very good at finding players and paying them little. The speech, however, is also dependent on the team. If player X costs 20 to Napoli and Juventus arrives, the price becomes 35. If HM arrives, it becomes 50. By now, if there is a PL club, prices rise.

Still would make some sense in buying him now if he's proven himself in Europe and would keep the Tottenham brand strong in Korea once Son has retired.
Don't think even we a supposed falling out with Inter Bastoni would make the move.

Maybe, would be a lot of money, not to mention wages, but he and Romero could be a good pairing for the future.

Just because he's been good for Napoli means fuck all.

Look at the amount of centre halves that could barely get a game in the Premier League, fucked off to Italy and were starting every match.

A season in a lesser non-Asian league was needed to show he was actually good enough and by then we had Romero and additionally Dier has been fantastic under Conte.

No one is questioning either of those two

I really like Dier and am glad he has rediscovered his form and is back in the England squad. This is no criticism of him.

If he's that good 50M Euro's is the going rate for a top centre-half, why not go back in for him?

Utd will offer mad wages though it's unlikely he'll turn them down if they are serious.

We bought Sanchez for £42 million... Kim was worth £16 million for Napoli.
Let that sink in a bit....

Always fancied him as a cheapo based on show reels.
Not sure I want THFC to spend bundles on him.

IIRC once we started getting serious about buying him in summer 20; his team in China got greedy and hiked the asking price up from about 11m to 20-odd mil. Such a price for an unproven player from China would was a piss-take.

There was nowhere near as much noise about him this summer.

Maybe Napoli will swap him for Ndombele
