I imagine anyone disheartened by this were the same who were disheartened by signing bargain bin Kulusevski and Bentancur last season. Or has never actually seen him play. Or were expecting Rafael Leao and Lionel Messi. Maybe we should have gone for Weghorst on loan instead?

Much better than Son on his current form. Would love to get him in by Preston.

Danjuma, Porro and a CB would be an excellent transfer window. But I don't think we've even been linked with a single CB, annoyingly.

Agree with all of this.

Liverpool were all over this guy a year ago and for north of 50m.

On a straight loan until we know what's happening with Conte it makes a lot of sense.


Conte says he needs a player that can go past a player, there you go.

Bentancur was playing, and starting mostly, for one of the best clubs in the world and is a started for one of the best national teams in the world. The man has played in Champions League finals.

Almost incomparable.

He'll be a rarely used bench player, Conte will use him for 5-10 minutes every blue moon, just like Gil which won't be enough time to impress or influence anything and he'll be back at his parent club after the loan expires.

Honestly, is it even that shocking that Danjuma backed out of the Everton deal if the papers weren't signed considering that they just sacked their manager?
