We still need to create an 'overseas trained' place for Rodon in EL squad before there is room to register him.
That's the reason he wasn't registered in the summer - it wasn't his late signing otherwise we would have registered 3rd GK Gazzaniga or utility player Gedson on registration deadline day when we knew he hadn't been signed in time.
Are you absolutely sure about this? The Europa League squads were submitted 8th October and we bought him 16th October.

Rodon was indeed bought after the deadline. But he suffers from the same issue as Davies where UEFA considers Swansea as a foreign club despite playing the EFL+PL system. So he takes up a domestic spot in the Prem but for the EL he will have to be added on a foreign spot.
Look at the numbers - we have NO space in the EL squad for an overseas trained player (as Rodin classified).

I think he didn't have to be registered due to him being "underage".
Same as Gedson.
I assume he's classed as under 21 so doesn't have to be registered.
or remove Sanchez and add Rodon? Considering Rodon is on the bench for most EPL games in place of Sanchez it makes sense to swap them in the Europa squad.
Still means we have a player not capable of registration in EL.
Gedson cannot play in EL as he does not meet criteria for u21 which is to have been with club for 2 years, so would be classed as an overseas trained player - so in first half of season none of Rodon, Gedson or Gazzaniga could be registered in EL, and unless we 'lose' one more overseas trained players in January, 3 will not be able to be registered in 2nd half of season.
Tanganga has been at Spurs long enough to be registered as an u21 in EL
sure, but its a moot point since he was bought over a week after the deadline anyway, maybe he would have taken Sanchez slot for all we know
