Just not doing his job. Offered almost nothing yet again. Can't pass or cross; can't beat a man; rare shots he takes are either backpasses or blazed over/wide.

A passenger all season. Deeply worrying

Not saying he played today like he was going to score in the NLD but just a feeling with Son that he's inconsistent this season. Has good days and bad days. Next one is going to be a good day... somehow.

Also, under the press Kane will drop deeper to get the ball v the goons. Son gets chances when that happens.
When was the last time he had a good day? He's scored one goal apart from the Leicester hattrick. Not like he's making crunching tackles, dictacting play or really doing anything else notable.

Scored and assisted vs Palace and had a 1v1 before his goal. That is a good day. 100% had nowhere near enough of those this season. Just saying I feel like he will score vs woolwich.

Zero point starting him really. He's offering absolutely nothing. Passing is shit, defensive work is shit. Useless.

Sadly, he'll start against Woolwich.

It’s obvious since the World Cup that we play him too central and it takes everything away from his game. It was the same for the first month of Conte’s tenure. He was playing exactly the same as he has this season.

He needs to stay wide channels and cut in but with perisic holding that width it just doesn’t work. Either the players need to dovetail and one cut in while the other stays wide and take turns or he needs dropping for a more technical player.

Playing him with his back to goal expecting him to hold up the ball does him no favours. But Conte doesn’t seem to have worked that out yet. He needs to look at it again.

He played very wide today often, but couldn't beat his man or accuracy with his shots.
Still I'd stand by him

Bizarre state of affairs when you consider the drop in quality between last season and this.

He has always been a confidence player, suffering the odd dip in form but never for this long.

Waste of space at the moment, though I can see/sense the desire of the coach, teammates and player himself to play him back into form. Can it be done?

Never the most combative, he is clearly petrified of contact. Touch has deserted him. Can’t beat an opponent (even League 1). Shots way off target.
