You would think the club would want to encourage not discourage a safe, noisy atmosphere.

I wouldn't read too much into that. We already knew that Block J was in use no more. Don't really think there is much substance in that article at all (if any). Wait for one of the 1882 lot to make a proper comment though...

Lets invite Andre to the next 1882 Youth game, he would love it! Mind you then the media would call 1882 a group of terrorists

Came here to post this:

Seems overblown, though. One cunt trying to lobby Spurs to crack down, and the safety group just covering its ass as it always does.

Doesn't mean the club is trying to suppress 1882.

Need to continue lobbying "Safe Standing" if we want to get anywhere. Those safety cunts just stand there spouting the same old and tired arguments, sticking their fingers in their ears shouting "NANANANA BOO BOO I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!"

However, there were reports of people standing, against stewards' instructions, and they "will therefore not be allowed to buy seats in this area". The group "stood and migrated [and] this is not acceptable".

A
nother example of giving authority an excuse to stop a worthy grass roots movement.

The club is clearly overly cautious about organized groups they are not totally in control of.

"This could turn into another Iraq or Libya", Ms. Glumford, a 35 year season ticket holder of Boringshire County noted...

The latest minutes of the Tottenham Safety and Advisory Group (SAG) reveal the CLUB are concerned about an organisation of supporters who want to bring the noise back to the stadium on the back of André Villas-Boas's comments that it is too "anxious and negative".

Sadly it is mate.
"...they had no choice but to take action because of the concerns over safety and the involvement of London Borough of Haringey, who have the power to issue their safety certificate."
