Bergwijn just wasn't consistent. Or you could say he was consistently inconsistent. Nothing at all against him though. Had some good moments for us and never seemed to cause any issues even when he wasn't playing. He's a useful player, the kind most sides would happily have in their squad even if he's never going to be a world beater. A bit like Werner, I think.

My understanding is that Bergwijn had a number of family-related issues while at Spurs — probably exacerbated by the pandemic — that affected him and made a move back to Netherlands a positive outcome.
