This geezer is another Soldado, another Jansen, another Gregor Raziak. Just big money spunked on a shitter who will huff and puff and ultimately be shite.
Buy Danny Ings - at least he is proven to score in the PL

Bloody foreigners coming over here and taking positions.

Adam Le Fondre is a proven scorer. Let's go sign him. Dominating in the A-League too.

Sarcasm I assume?
Nope he's nowhere near a top four striker yet, utter folly to expect him to just walk into the EPL and boss better teams than he's faced at Milan ... we love to get carried away but it's completely unrealistic ...

The EPL's top scorers have many years and have played 100's of games to get to the level they are today ...

Vardy 32
Ings 27
Auba 30
Kane 26
Aguero 31
Salah 27

Abraham at Chelsea is only 22 as is Rashford at Utd but they are the exceptions and remember both have been in English football their entire lives, to expect a 24 year old Pole to arrive and hit that level ... crazy.

He's a decent punt at under 30m but he's not yet a 100m striker .... give him a chance

I’m equally excited as when we was linked to big fat vinny and that didn’t turn out to badly either did it
In all seriousness if he signs let’s just try and get behind him and not write him off before he has had a chance to adjust to the league

Where are the Ings rumours coming from? its 80-100M for PL survival and he is what gives Southampton a chance of staying up - why would they sell?

Danny Ings is injury prone, that's why Liverpool offloaded him, he might be scoring for fun at the moment but the minute we buy him you know he would get an injury that would put him out for 4 months. Steer clear.

He's also a tattooed fuckwit who looks like he owns one of those bulldogs with its ballbag hanging out
You know the type

Don't get this thing about the age coming in to it when talking about the foreign players. Aguero hit the ground running when he joined. Roberto Soldado joined at 28, where he had played many years and 100's of games to get to the level he was at.

All transfers are a risk - Ings and Vardy for example are currently doing well - does that mean they are nailed on to succeed wherever they go? No.

I don't think anyone, with some modicum of sense, expects him to hit Kane's level. But we need someone who can come in and lead the line. Maybe he'll succeed and maybe he'll turn in to Roberto Soldado.

This guy has scored 4 goals in 18 appearances this season for a team sitting in 12th in Serie A. Hardly prolific and certainly not fit to lace Kane's boots.

Spunking money on no marks like this in a desperate punt that they might live up to some potential that a scout has seen, or they had a good season so must be good. (I call it the Michael Ricketts fallacy)
is why we have fallen behind Liverpool in recent seasons, they spend their money wisely on quality not quantity.

If we buy this guy we will have spunked over 150m on Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sessegnon and this geezer that most of us have never heard of.

You could have bought one top drawer player like a Bale rather than those 4 and it would make a massive difference to our team.

And if we can't dabble sit at the 100+ million table then look at players who we know are quality that might be looking to play more, Like Divock Origi who you could get for around 50-60m
13 in 19 for Genoa last year - listen to a few podcasts and at that time they were championing him as the next lewandowski - started really well for Milan last year and seemed to be the next big thing. Obviously wheels have fallen off but there seems to be something there.

There are no rumors.

Its this guy saying buy Ings instead of Piatek. Nothing more.
I had Ings mentioned to me by a mate yesterday so I thought it was a thing. The days of "poaching" a struggling PL clubs prized player mid season is over, the rewards of staying up are so high its worth the gamble.

Foreign clubs can still be bullied (financially) somewhat but unless they are down already you may as well link Ronaldo than Ings.

24 is not exactly a rookie. If we’re signing a 30 million 24 year old striker we should expect him to make a decent impact straight away. If he’s good enough, he’s old enough.

Otherwise why not just play Parrott?

Wasnt Kane also 22-23 when he first topscored the PL? So was aguero when he first joined city and hit 20+ in the league. Salah was 25 when he broke the PL record. Even Sterling became a really good goalscoring winger around 23-24. Add Rashford, Abraham on those.

I think if he is to ever become a 100m striker we will see signs of it sooner rather than later.

Firmino scored 7 goals in 3 games for hoffenheim the season before Liverpool signed him. Hardly prolific but he had had 5 seasons playing in germany before they signed him. I agree there is a huge risk in buying a player off the back of one good season if they havent played a lot of top flight football. Janssen is the perfect example of this. There's countless others too I suspect.
