Youve always rated Dier . Anyone with a brain should see just how bad he is.
World Class is quite hard to judge, I use the rule of ‘would he get into any other team in the world’

I don’t rate Dier as just below world class though.
I rate him as someone who brought something to our midfield and was ravaged by blood poisoning that could have killed him but came back, tried his hardest and never hid.
He’s an average player, who was once very good, but has been shit recently and rightly dropped.
Once again.....can you explain why my thoughts on Dier should mean I should pretend I think Kane is world class and has never been off form?

Everyone would have had doubts about him at the beginning. But seriously, he's just below world-class? Give your head a wobble. Everything about him is world-class, his ability and his mentality.

Obviously no player is good in every match... so the best way to analyse a player is by looking at all of his performances?
And we have stats to do that, ie goals per game. Furthermore anyone who can understand football can see that beyond goals per game, his passing is phenomenal.
If he’s playing badly yes, I agree with you that he isn’t dropped enough when out of form, which gives him a sense of being bigger than the club
But at the same time even on an off day he can smash one in from 30 yards, so understand why he is played through bad form

Can you explain why me liking Dier as an average player but rightfully thinking he’s been dropped for being shit should affect how I rate Harry Kane?
