I understand the thought process here, but he's going to have to play again eventually
If the club only played him at 100% then he wouldn't play many matches at all.... have to take a slight risk at some point.

As an older yid I think these are the games that define my experience as a spurs fan. I want to go go all out blazing, Harry scores a hatrick, snaps a ligament, and he and spurs are etched in history. The game is about glory after all. No one will remember the draw he gets us at palace cos we rested him the week before.

Irish commentator cunt just described Kane as going through a purple patch and isnt naturally gifted

Also, he's just said scoring goals in England is the easiest league in the world....

We really are a different animal with him in the line up.

Can get himself out of tight situations through sheer determination and strength. Is a very intelligent footballer and a bloody good one to boot. Some of his passing today was sublime. Even when he's not scoring he's creating. It's unfair to say we're the Harry Kane team but without him, we're no where near as good (yes, state the obvious) but teams know we have nothing like him and will have it easy.

Hattrick coming at the weekend.

Just saw this posted on twitter

The question is can Real Madrid keep hold of their players? Surely Modric and Ronaldo will be looking to further their career at Tottenham?

Kane was a beast last night, the amount of Madrid players that literally bounced off him during his hold up play was almost a joke.
Me & my lad were saying exactly the same thing last night. They were bouncing off him. Immense strength & determination. He completely unsettled their defence. People just don’t know how to deal with his presence. That is the sign of an elite player imo.

He's obviously a reasonable sized bloke, but watching him bully other top level players last night was a joy to behold. Another ref might have penalised him for some of the physical play, but there was nothing malicious in it.

It seems likely he was told to take it easy at first. There was an early chance where he went for a chip when the power shot looked a better option. But if he doesn't chase that loose ball, and win the throw, and take it quickly, our first goal doesn't happen (just yet). Magnificent

Also, I don't buy the harry Kane team bs, but it can't be a coincidence that when he goes off its squeaky bum time. His presence up front ties up a defense in a way nobody else can

Just hope he doesn't play in both of these england friendlies.
Leave him out of the brazil game please southgate, we got the scum three&half days later.
I saw on TV that southgate was at wembley (=WHL west?). I'm afraid half his team was on the field last night . It's great for our guys to play for England of course but I'm pretty sure that's just a pointless exercise in risking more injuries. Harry certainly doesn't need it right now

Very strong on the ball and when running for it. He’s quick for a normal bloke let alone someone of his strength. His movement is constant and it’s very difficult to know which way he is going. He pulls defences all over the place. Oh, and he scores bucketfuls.

Just a complete forward.

Always worth a bump every now and then.
Behold people... here is PAGE 1
Deadly serious here, love the lad. sure he will never be the number 9 we always dream about, but he is naturally more of a number 10. Had a great loan spell in 11/12 at Milwall. I would love to see him get a fair bit of time off the bench this season, get used to Premier League football.

My HK posts in the Transfer discussion thread got me around 20 Funny ratings and 1 agree. Just you wait.

Just you wait.

I think he'll be a Premier League footballer, I'm just not sure if it will be with us.

I think he gets unfair stick for no reason other than having been at the club for so long and being hyped up from the age of 16.

He only just turned 20 and wouldn't even take up a squad number for another 2 years. Windy compares him to Teddy Sheringham so lets give the boy a chance.

I hope it is with us, but I wouldn't be surprised if its at a team along the lines of Villa or Fulham

I for one, have lots of time for Kane - unfair expectations and prejudice, much like with other academy products have created a false perception of a 'failure'. For fucks sake, he's still in his formative years!

Many FM fanboys and similar internet forum experts seem to have written him off already - ridiculous all-round bearing in mind he's hardly even been given the confidence associated with a consecutive run of games/starts for any striker (7/10+) and the fact he only turned 20 last month

Hope he stays on this season as 4th choice and receives good experience in the cups, etc. - in addition to training with AVB and the squad as opposed to some 2nd league cloggers up north

The main thing holding him back is just 'cos he looks like Robert from 'Guess Who?'

I wish, but seriously, what does the bold even mean? He hasn't exactly shone whilst on loan or when given a run-out for Spurs.

He hasn't earned regular games at Spurs so I don't really understand that. Also, he hasn't really shown anything in his loan spells to indicate that he would displace any of our strikers. He might carve out a career at Championship/Premier League level but not for a team chasing Champions League. Caulker and Townsend proved their worth on their loan spells, as did Walker.

I wonder what the goal/assist ratio was? Adebayor was one of 2 players to get double figures in both.

he'll end up at Norwich or Leyton

Are you suggesting we start him on a run of games? He hasn't earned it because I don't think he's good enough.

Kane is awful, his touch is awful, his finishing is awful, and he almost looks embarrassed to be playing half the time.

I love the optimism, love it..... But i just dont see it at all.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing!! eh Burko Burko ??
