Floyd Mayweather Jr spurred on to follow Tottenham by British boxer Ashley Theophane
Pretty Boy is preparing for his blockbuster battle with unbeaten Mexican Saul Alvarez at the MGM Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, September 14.
Opening the showcase event is Londoner Ashley Theophane, a new recruit to Mayweather Promotions, who makes his Las Vegas bow against hardened Mexican Pablo Cesar Cano.
Theophane is an avid Tottenham fan and he said: ‘I will be watching the derby at the Emirates in between going on a training run and heading to the gym.
‘I have been really impressed with Tottenham’s transfer business this summer and predict a very big season for us this year.
‘Whatever happens at the Emirates, I think Woolwich are going downhill and I will be surprised if Spurs don’t finish above them this season.’
Theophane has won 33 of 39 professional fights with one draw and has enjoyed sparring with Mayweather.
The 33-year-old from Paddington added: ‘My work has been going exceptionally well and I can’t wait to make a big impression in my Vegas debuts.
‘Tottenham winning the north London derby would give me a boost and I have been trying to get Floyd to cheer in Spurs this season. It makes sense because we are all going to be winners this year.’

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football-24287366Former BBC Radio 4 newsreader Charlotte Green admits she will be feeling nervous when she makes her debut reading the classified football results on Saturday.
Green, who supports Tottenham Hotspur, will begin reading the classifieds on BBC Radio 5 live and the World Service on 28 September.
Green says it is a job she has always wanted, but adds that it was a surprise to be asked to take over from James Alexander Gordon.
Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi as of yesterday
Be interesting to hear his stance on the word Yid.
Rabbi schmabbiDidn't he go out and said that he fully supported the Spurs fans and their positive use of yids just a week ago?
Then he also said that Cameron should fuck off and not try to get cheap points.
Or was that some other rabbi?
Nick Knowles off the telly
