A quick temperature check, because I often see people saying “How many more goals would we be scoring if Kane was still here?”

My view is honestly, it would be a marginal improvement at best. Kane would have definitely bagged a load under Ange, but on the flipside Son and Richarlison would be far less productive stuck out on the left wing all the time.

For context, Son and Richarlison this season:
19 G+A playing as the no.9, but only 6 G+A combined from the Left wing.

So, do we need a Striker to attempt fill that HK shaped hole in our hearts or do we actually buy a proper left winger who can change the dynamic of our attack?

Strikers: Son, Richarlison (now finally fit after surgery), Veliz

Left wing: Solomon, Bryan Gil, Son (won’t be a winger much long as he gets older), Richarlison (not his best positon).

Left wing is easiest to upgrade, we’d need to buy Osinhem to upgrade the striker, left wing we just need someone better than Solomon or Bryan Gil.

Left wing as Son, Richarlison and Veliz can all play centrally and score. Both Son and Richy are better centrally than on the left. Overall centreback is the most important position for us even with Romero and Van De Ven returning soon.
