Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Looking at the current top three teams, plus Spurs, the average player ages are as follows:

City 25.9
Arse 25.4
Pool 25.3
Spurs 24.8

(Based on at least 5 appearances this season)

When you think about it, the majority of players won't get continual starts till they're about 22 and probably last till they're about 30.
Average 26

Maybe we should be concentrating on 25-26 year old's. Seems to be what City is doing.

I think Pep is one of the masters in the game at blending youth into teams.
But they also have a very different approach to youth football in Spain to the UK which he would have been exposed to throughout his playing career and early days of coaching.

Haaland 23
Foden 23
Alvarez 24
40 premier league goals between them.

You would imagine they can all improve - and whether haaland is playing for city age 26 is another thing altogether.

You talk the biggest pile of utter wank.
It’s true - his biggest impact on an intl tournament was 2004, after that he did nothing comparable for Eng at another tournament. Scores goals in qualifiers and friendlies but that was the peak.

For club, his peak was 18-27. He was brilliant at 18, explosive and an uncontainable blockbuster of a player. For that peak he was up there with Ronaldo…. After that 11/12 season he was inconsistent and never looked explosive, and averaged less than 10 PL goals a season. Still a good player albeit awful in lots of games too but nowhere near the same level as when he was 18
