Nkoudu looked good on YouTube videos.
The reason his lesser Spanish team than spurs (Valencia??) let him go was because he is better than son richarlison and even Lucas.
He was brought as cheap cover to let Gill go on loan no more no less. Stop pretending he is is the 2nd coming

Yea thats a good point about Youtube videos. But Danjuma has scored more last year and this season than Lucas has in the last 4 years put together. I think playing Lucas now is just plain idiotic especially as hes not a part of our future anyway.
 
I didn’t understand the point of this loan deal either .I can only put it down to lining agents pockets as patrici is involved. There was no need to send Gil out on loan and then get someone else in on loan to replace them never play him. What is the point. Gil was doing ok. I’d just love someone at the club to explain the rationale of our transfer dealings. Why buy Soence, then never give him a chance , play royal for his knows how long whisky being shite then turn to Doh as no 1 rwb. Only to then send him on loan but couldn’t do terminate his contract. In jan almost everyone wanted royal out but pushed out Doh who was prbly our best rwb caveat being we didn’t know what Soence could do. It’s a shambles and someone prbly the fraud patrici should come out and tell us what’s going on. After all they are wasting the clubs money on all this! Prbly still paying some of gils wages, picking up dans wages and lost everything on Doh.
 
2021/22 stats for Villareal :

La Liga - 10 goals and 3 assists in 23 appearances (1476 mins)
CL - 6 goals and 1 assist in 11 appearances (908 mins)
Total 16 goals and 4 assists in 2384 mins or 119 mins per goal involvement

CL included goals against Bayern, Juventus, and Atalanta and assist against ManU (also assist against Barcelona in La Liga). So he can score and assist against good sides as well as the usual mix of La Liga sides.

He mainly plays as LW, but can play RW and CF, so pretty good stats playing as a winger - few wingers will better them

He's not brought in on loan to be first choice, but as a rotation option and could be either 5th choice (ie over Moura) or 6th choice. Since Moura is 30 and leaves at end of this season its also a 'try before you buy' option (£27m apparently - about same we paid PSG for Moura ) to replace Moura if he .proves to be good enough.

Attributes - good finisher, good dribbler, can cross with both feet, good set piece taker (generally a good sign of ball striking technique), explosive speed/acceleration. Versatile forward LW but can play RW and CF.


So why would you not use Danjuma - probably better than Moura - both this season and to see if he fills a hole in next season's squad

Imagine if we took this approach to politics. The Prime Minister can't be blamed for anything, they don't directly get involved with stuff!

Buck stops with the Chairman. He runs the football side of this operation - OK'ed the appointment of Conte, OK'ed a bunch of ineffective summer signings and OK'ed a crook at DOF. Also lied to the fans about playing attacking football so wow, the politician analogy really works!

Long term has overseen 14 years without a trophy, numerous failed managerial appointments, and one of the least effective recruitment policies around, all whilst overseeing a tremendous identity crisis at the club..

No but he employs them, he decides who the manager is, he has decided who the DoF is and who the chief scout is. He's also, just so you are aware with that nomenclature, infamously interfered with player recruitment for years.

He had employed a manager with a set style and allowed him to build a team, he then stopped supporting him, sacked him and then brought in a guy who was totally alien in terms of style. For a while he brought in players for that individual, he then sacked him and tried with another, sacked him quickly then moved on to another with another style which didn't suit the squad....

We now have a patchwork squad with a disinterested manager and a 2nd pseudo squad of players he bought out on loan because no one else would ever buy them (which is financially impacting us) - oh yeah and like peh he is now walking around pointing the finger....

Does he kick a ball? No, but he controls who does and who tells him how to.

Or should we live in a world were those with ultimate responsibility and control no longer face or take responsibility? Let's be honest he pays himself well enough for that role....

Conte/Stellini/Mason and everyone involved in team selections are seriously incompetent.
 
Playing Lucas after Danjuma scored on debut and looked as hungry as a wolf is fucking criminal.

Conte and his stubborn "hierarchy" in the squad makes zero sense when it means he has to use a player that will be gone next season over one that clearly has talent and a point to prove.

The worst thing is you know he's so stubborn that he's going to do it again even when Lucas has come into a team and we have lost to Sheff UTD and Wolves. Even tho not Lucas' fault, he did fuck all in either appearance. What does he really expect to achieve?

Wasn't he on the nose at Villarreal? Seemed like we poached him from Everton for a laugh. Perhaps to help them get relegated so we can get Pickford on the cheap.

Haven't seen enough of him to know what he is about. I have seen plenty of Lucas though to know when I see him coming on that absolutely nothing will happen.

Not only do we know what Lucas is about, we know he is leaving.So there is zero point in dusting the cobwebs off him and get him going again...for his next team. Brainless.

He was in the CL team of the season last year. This year he has hit a slump in form for Villarreal, coinciding with their change of coach, whether he's still in a slump we have no idea, cause he can't get a game. We have no clue if he's not getting games because he's not been impressing in training, because his best position is Left winger / Forward, and Son keeps getting games there for reasons that have nothing to do with meritocracy.
