Still have nightmares about that Man City cup game. Someone I went to the game with, had suported us for years but it was the first game he'd been to. That game summed up in 90mins what it's like being a Spurs fan

That Man City game is on ESPN classics this month... I've set to record it.

that City game was the wifes first. After the game we proceeded to get stuck in the normal traffic on the high road and then break down half way down the M4. Thankfully my boss at the time was football mad and just liked the fact I went all the time so he gave me the next day off to recover.
 
The train home from that City game, I sat opposite a woman who was with her son and had been at Charlton. They'd won and noticed we were Spurs.

"Good night for you lads then..."

Worst bit was. She said that, smirked and got out some knitting.

That Leicester fa cup match was in my first year of university in Leicester, my halls was opposite the stadium, thought it was fate. Was a depressing night.

Not the first time I've heard Jol do this. Can't remember what game (reserve possibly) but he had a similar conversation where he admitted to a fan 'Rasiak is a bit shit, isn't he?'
