Nonsense, Dempsey scored massive goals against Manu and City to give us our best record against the anchester clubs. Sigurdsson has gone on to be one of the most creative players in the league. Scoring against just a day ago. VDV fan boys overate him because of his heroics against Woolwich. He was good but never as good as people think. Faded along withAdebayor with triffic arrys second half season collapse.

So two players you highly rate, brought in to replace one you think wasnt good enough...yet Levy never signs good players, or upgrades in your opinion

In his final season he played 18 games of 80 minutes or more (9 of those were for the full 90)

So, 9 times in a full season he managed to go 90 minutes. 18 times he could do 80 minutes. We played 54 games that year between the League, Europa, FA and League Cups. So, he was able to play a full 90 16.6% of the time. Less than 1 in every 5 games he could do a full distance. Or 2/3 of the time, he couldn't manage 80 minutes.

He was pretty good when he played for us, but he rather clearly wasn't playing very much. Between the tail off in his form, and his continual lack of fitness, we dodged a bullet by selling him. We wasted Gylfi, but in Eriksen we have found someone who can do everything we need in a 10, and actually do it a lot more often.

i cant belive what im reading. people expressing negative emotions about VDV. wow, just. wow.

He would have been subbed a number of times due to tactical reasons, including those in the late stages, he missed games through injury, he might not have been selected.

Eriksen played 80 or more minutes 23 times last season.... and averaged 72 minutes a game a MASSIVE 2 minutes more than vdv averaged in 11-12.

.
Rafa averaged 76 per game in 10-11 and
And this season he's up to just under 83 minutes per match in the League, and 80 in the Europa league.

Or, to use the stats Spurs provide he's averaging 78 in all comps, including several sub appearances in the Cup competitions.

So, his fitness has improved (as has the whole squad), and he's made a habit out of scoring late match winners.

VdV's fitness never managed that, and has been on the downward trend as he ages. We sold him at the right time. His fitness and form have both shown that pretty clearly. He was good when we had him, but we sold him at the right time.

Tutto Mercato Web claim Konoplyanka is delaying his decision to join Roma as he wants a move to Spurs or Liverpool.

Roma are to make one final bid to sign Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches. #THFC (Source: Evening Standard)

If it is for a "cut rate" as reported. Keep him until summer. We aren't going to be able to replace him this window and we aren't going to use the small sum of money to address the striker issue anyway.

Can't post the link but Real Madrid are planning on raising funds for Harry Kane and Sterling by selling Benzema to Man Utd or Scum, fp the shit they right makes it magnificent that they actually get paid to do it.

Here is the link to the ridiculous story. How the f**k do these guys have a job... seriously!
