Sherwood strikes me as the last man (dressed in a tracksuit) in the casino who will bet everything and when he finds a couple of quid left in his pocket he still thinks he is in front!

I agree 100% - the weasel will be judged in these games
Thing is, as I said yesterday, I think Levy has written the season off and has a personal plot to replace Timmy at the end of the season. So even if Sherwood turns to shit for the rest of the season, I don't think Levy will sack him. I think the bald one will be more concerned about his own reputation so he'll let the season go to shit because he knows the fans will still pay through the nose until the final whistle.

So it could be that we will be in for months of dire shit. Still, I was feeling nostalgic for the nineties a few days back, so.......

The fact that Sherwood only has a contractuntil the end of next season has prompted suggestions that he is only a short-term appointment.

"I regard [that] as an insult, but it is only an insult if I go and win all the games," Sherwood said.

"What can we do? If we win all the games and they bring someone else in after I've won the league, then I'm going to Real Madrid," he added, with a smile.

FUUUUUUUUCCCKK

Levy better have a Plan B for when Timmy takes over at Real...........I heard he's already taking Spanish lessons

I agree with what you are saying, although in a season where Utd, City and Chelsea changed managers none going for Redknapp was very telling.

However what I was asking was since sacking Jol looking back with hindsight would you have wanted to keep him on? Would you have wanted to keep any of the managers on? Not at the time but with hindsight. Can you honestly say any one of our previous managers should return to the job?

That's a tough one to answer. None of our old managers have covered themselves in glory since their departure. However, none have been at a club of Tottenham's resources. I'm not really a believer in if you're a good manager you can do it anywhere. Sometimes things just don't go your way.

Martinez got Wigan relegated last year but has Everton humming this year. Next year they'll lose Lukaku, Defolou, and Barry and probably won't quite be as good. People will wonder if Martinez was really that good at all. Sometimes things fall your way, sometimes they don't. It's makes it especially hard to judge managers since often at the first run of bad form they are sacked. Funny old game.

Mancini another example.
