Ali G theorised that he’s maybe trying to protect Jedinak and stop the players getting it into their heads that it’s a problem, when he made the comment that set pieces aren’t an issue a few weeks ago.

But it is an issue and he does need to focus on it

Just to come back to this. I’m utterly disgusted. The second goal was worse. It’s right in front of me in the south stand so I could see what was going to happen before it did. It was so obvious.

What’s so concerning is they had 2 weeks to watch every corner Woolwich have taken this season to see what would happen and that’s what they could come up with. It’s a disgrace. Either the manager needs a bollocking or the coaches do or he needs some in who know what they’re doing. Because if I can spot it then the rest of the league can.

Funnily enough I think we played just as good, if not better in the first half. The Son horrible miss, Romero's headers, the not given penalty, the milimetric offside etc. We just killed ourselves, and I'm fucking livid about it, especially because it was against those bellends...

I was watching it with my Dad and I remember him remarking on it

But you’re right Spinks was terrified
I think that he was unbeaten up to then
Not sure if he ever fought again

Another cowardly performance was Ken Norton against George Foreman
Also terrified and he got well and truly grilled!

I disagree slightly, conceding 3 goals is shit but we we didn’t have a shocking 1st half. Woolwich has done their corner routine to all and sundry so we aren’t mugs for them scoring shit happens. Their second was a breakaway when we should have had a pen.
This as they say is football and as disappointed and furious as I am losing to them overall they got handed the game by a combination of us and the officials.

......He has a LOT to ponder both now and in the summer.

- We have the aforementioned back 4 struggling despite individually being quality.
- The MF unreliable: see previous post.
- Attack has toiled and struggled to create quality chances in volume all season.

........And whilst we need them; buying a few new FWDs is only a fraction of that puzzle.

I watched that with my dad as well, he said that Spinks was too scared to win. Norton / Foreman was before my time watching boxing

That’s why I’m so angry too. I actually thought we defended well out of possession. The set pieces killed us and it’s unacceptable
 
Just got home. It's never going to be easy when the referee is bending over backwards to favour your opponents, is it?
I thought Michael Oliver was a total cunt. How the hell does he keep his job?

At least we won the second half.
