A really really bad performance from that whole midfield three tbh.

Not sure what went wrong. Fulham were great, but that's no excuse for all three of them to shrink the way they did.
Noticed in game fulham went wide a lot to avoid our press. Also think we need to control game more in midfield just keeping the ball for a bit rather being frenetic going forward. Disallowed goal they scored was amateurish. Bad result but cant dwell.

Yes that was also a clear difference between the Fulham and Villa game.

In the Villa game, we aimed to keep the ball, show some patience and wait for the chance to press and attack. Fulham game we could barely string a pass together and almost looked too eager to get forward instead of just keeping the ball.

Strange all round.

Way i see it jose and conte left us a mess. Ange has had to mop it up. Kane left. Ange has lifted the club. Top 4 will be great come end of season. Europa decent. Its all about next season.
We get in Europa, we need to give it a real go.....may be preferable....we haven't a cat in hells chance of winning Champions league, let's face it.....🤷‍♂️

Far too casual in front of goal. We had a few chances in the first half that we should have scored.

If the other team are going to sit back and defend in their own box - fine. Get the ball in there and play for a penalty.

We seem obsessed with getting the balls out to our wide players, but we dont put anyone in the box for them to aim at
and Richyncame on at the death

Ange said exactly that after the game, we were far too eager to get forward. Just mindless play all around.

There's been a mentality issue at this club for years and years and years. Yesterday was a fine example of it. We beat Villa convincingly and show up at Fulham expecting three points.

Luckily, I do think we've got a manager who isn't going to stand for that shit.

Our press was the only thing that worked against Fulham. We must have won the ball back in dangerous positions at least 5 times in the first half alone. Just wasted it every time.

Considering our lack of European football and no domestic trophy participation all season, and with only the league to focus on, I'd rate it as the most pathetic performance since the Newcastle shambles last season.

Limp, weak, soft, and seemingly lacking any desire or motivation whatsoever

I’d go further and rate it as bad as our surrender at ten man Newcastle under Poch the season we finished 3rd in a two horse race!

Shocker

Newcastle away last season was a disgrace. We still have deadwood at our club to shift. Been a good servant but davies needs to go, royal, forster, hpijberg. Were in better shape than a year ago when we were on our knees. Need a top striker in summer though. Cant keep pinning hopes whether parrott, scarlett devine or veliz might come good. Top striker needed with veliz as back up.
