Looks like Michael Edwards might be going back to them, massive for them if true.

Yeah, good hire I think. Knows the Club already and goes back with a very big promotion so should be well-motivated. I does show that the Club is planning well for post Klopp.

I know Edwards got a lot of very positive press when he was there previously, this could be correct and well deserved but a bit of me thinks that without Klopp he would have quite the "success" attributed to him. I say this as he was there when Rogers was there, they only got good after Klopp rocked up. I guess we will find out now if this holds any water.

also Hughes is taking his old position and he is going higher up. It’s obviously good news for them. Agree though, they still need to pick the correct new manager. I wouldn’t be surprised if their squad goes through quite a bit of upheaval now with him coming in either.

That's not 100% correct though is it? Under Rogers, they were a slippy G away from the title themselves.

I dunno when he started there; but they made a raft of awful signings under Dalglish & Rodgers.

Well to be fair he was the one who pushed for Salah when Klopp wanted Brandt so I guess one thing couldn't happen without the other. Liverpool fans are convinced that if he stayed they would have won more trophies - he wanted to push out the likes of Henderson, Milner and Fabino way before Klopp was finished with them. He left in Summer 2022 co-incidentally Liverpool had a mare in the Summer TW

I have no love for City, to say the least, but I really hope they beat Liverpool on the same day we beat Aston Villa. Liverpool fans will be even more insufferable if they manage to win this game and go 4 points clear. Hopefully the likes of De Bruyne, Foden and Haaland really turn up and don't get swallowed up by the atmosphere or occasion.

Or their bus doesn't get pelted.

I hope City murder them. When it comes to football, this lot think their shit doesn’t smell. They are special.

I could say living in a sewer like Liverpool you have to cling onto something but most of their fans don’t even live in the region let alone the city.
