He played for them but we bought him from Valencia.

Sill saddens me how he didn't make it for us, I was convinced he was the one.
I'll see your Bobby Soldado and raise you a Sergei Rebrov.... now he's the one I thought would be THE ONE!
(Shame we just couldn't have bought Shevchenko at the same time to compliment him... in an "Ossie & Ricky" style double swoop!!)

Tottenham Hotspur Season Ticket price increase

Tottenham Hotspur Supporter’s Trust is dismayed by the Club’s plans to increase Season Tickets by six per cent.
We oppose any Season Ticket increase and the removal or reduction of Senior concessions, both of which are also opposed by the Fan Advisory Board.

THST Board members met with the club on February 21 when we were presented with the Season Ticket proposals for the first time. During this meeting, we disagreed on several areas and as a result of our input, changes were made.

We do, however, remain hugely disappointed to see Season Tickets increase by six per cent.

Discounts for senior Season Ticket and matchday tickets remain unchanged for 2024/25 but lead to the complete removal of new Senior concessions from 2025/26 – this is unacceptable. The Club does say new senior Season Ticket holders who are turning 65 for next season will receive the current 50 per cent discount if they are in a concession area, but this will be of little comfort to those supporters impacted by these changes from 2025/26.

The discount for senior Season Tickets will also be reduced by five per cent each season for the next five years meaning that, from 2029/30, Senior Season Tickets will cost senior supporters 25 per cent more than today. This increase cannot be justified.

The Club’s justification for the six per cent increase are two-fold:
* That it has only raised prices once before in the last five years by 1.5 per cent
* Because there has been a “significant increase in matchday costs”.
In our opinion neither justification holds water.

The Club says the number of senior concession Season Tickets has risen to almost four times the number at White Hart Lane and says the increase is not sustainable. We say these changes pull the rug out from under the feet of pensioners after years of loyal support.

THST Official believes a fuller discussion at the beginning of this process with the Club would have led to more effective input and increased the prospect of an outcome with wider support.

They passed the rises on to members last season....it was only a matter of time before STs were hit.

How long before a Cat B match is a ton?

6% is nuts but it was always going to happen after the freeze last year, better off increasing it year on year rather than jumping like that.

That's why I am down to half a dozen games a season.

It's not the money, it's the principle.

Apart from meeting the usual suspects in the Shelf Bar on match days there is nothing else I like about modern football.

The club are getting rinsed all over social media, and rightfully so.

6% is a stupidly high jump
To be honest I thought it would be a 10% hike.

You're just worried that a new owner will put you out of a job

Any new owner will probably have their own lackeys already lined up

Awww, fuck the seniors, we'll all be dead soon anyway... And can FINALLY fucking stop going on about '61, '81, '91, and when Football was better in the old days, and the SHELF, and flat caps, and queueing up on a matchday to get in...

Gen Z rules now.

Half and Half Scarves,
Selfies instead of goal celebrations...
And a fucking pre-match DJ!

Fuck that...
IF THIS is the future of football (especially as ArseAnal are probably gonna dominate the next few years) then fuck it... I'm out...
Or at least despairing of where football has gone ('cos of COURSE I'll be there to see the full horror unfolding... and we all know it. Most of us will...
'Cos we're FOOTBALL FANS, AND more fool us, TOTTENHAM FANS...

...through thick and thin.

THAT'S what the club seem to neglect, and forget!

Go back to grassroots football. I'm watching my local National League team on a terrace where the wind and rain blows in sideways under the gap in the roofing, and its fucking glorious.

The money killed Premier League football years ago. I only get to see Spurs live 2-3 times a season and watch the rest from the armchair.

Lewes FC ST is about £210 and £140 for over 65s (21 games). I'm tempted.

An over 64 season ticket at Millwall is under £200. Obviously that's not a goer for me but certainly far more realistic.

The thing is it's the 6% increase which is mental, if they did 3% last year than 3% this year it wouldn't seem so bad but last year people probably thought that the freeze was sustainable which was never going to be the case.
