Surely he'll be okay to start on Sat. Isn't the Asia cup final scheduled for about the same time as the Brighton game on Sat?
Don't imagine he'd have been on the bench for the final.

I feel for Son. I hope he wins an Asian Cup before he retires. 2027 may be his last chance.
Son now has the right manager, a squad who are rapidly gelling together and the opportunity as skipper, out from under Kane's shadow, to win a league title which was last won by the club in the double season of 1960-61. The stars are aligning for him now I feel!

Technically yes I agree, but he does need a couple of days rest mentally/emotionally and physically, it was a gruesome schedule.

Knowing what Sonny is like he will want to play no doubt, whether that is starting but not full 90mins or coming on as a sub with with 30 mins is probably the happy medium.

This is why he's not world class. Elite player but falls short of being one of the best because he doesn't consistently do it enough when the stakes are high and can go anonymous, just like Kane.
It says more about the squad than him. How about asking Messi to play in the SK squad and see if he could win the tournament. That's also the reason Portugal had that few honours despite having Cristiano there - the squad is just not at the same level. Somehow it's always forgotten football is a team sport after all.
